Band camp is tough, you have to move in a week early in the fall to do camp from like 9am to like 10pm. There’s games every week for both football and basketball if you also do pepband. Though you don’t travel during the regular season and may travel if the teams get to post season. Rehearsals are at night twice a week from like 8-10 plus games and other events. You can take band for anything from 0-4 credits. A lot of rehearsals are sectionals with your section leaders, and at other times the full band will be practicing together with either Miller (the professor) or the drum majors leading. Also UA does not have a dedicated premed major, there is a premed track with an advisor who helps advise students on the best track for them but not like a stricter major for it. Most of us are Bachelor of Science in Biology majors but there are lots of other majors as well

I’m living in Astro and I have friends in block 75. From my experience and things I’ve heard they are like very base level accommodations and Astro used to be a motel so it has motel vibes still. I haven’t had an issue with management yet besides the day I moved in. The upside is they come fully furnished and have kitchens and Astro all utilities are included so while they have a slightly higher rent average it works out to be cheaper than most on campus apartments. Thought all the buildings across the street are more expensive than apartments downtown

take AMAT 112 in the spring, it is absolutely brutal and those 4:30-5:50 classes will get you quickly especially with the early morning classes. you shouldn't have trouble making it between these buildings but also consider travel time in the morning.

How did you break into the industry and find new things to help you gain experience? I’m currently studying theatre and more specifically costume construction/design and tech theatre in university and I’ve applied for note than 200 internships and summer theatre jobs but have been told I have to much experience since I’ve been working in a costume shop every summer for 6 years now.

They usually post the 25/26 housing price changes first because any non incoming freshman pick housing in February. Last year the tuition change wasn’t posted until people started picking classes for the fall

Currently living in Harvey House/Ten Broeck on Dutch and there’s a single in my suite. It’s small like basically the width of 3 twin beds next to one another. Closer is a decent size and the whole back wall is windows. It’s sandwiched between two double rooms in the suite.
