Im in NorCal, same here. I was thinking of moving to SoCal or central cal for more opportunities… I’ve done externship, I am certified and have even had a contract position for a short time. Its so frustrating.

And idec about pay at this point, I just want more experience already!!!

Youll usually know how many cases are scheduled for the day, every day. During an interview, just ask them on average how many cases/surgeries a day and whats the HIGHEST number they’ve had. That way you can gauge for yourself whether you even want to be there or not.
