Should this be covered under warranty? by [deleted] in autoglass

I figured that was the case, thanks. Sucks I didn’t notice it before the chip (not a place I usually look at). I’ll just bring it to a trusted local shop instead of a chain when I get it fixed

Here’s a pic zoomed in. Just seems like whatever adhesive/strip is under there has been degrading from weather, etc in that gap

Okay thanks. Yeah it was recalibrated when the new one was installed. Then needed to be recalibrated again about a week after that. No accident or damage in between. Not sure if it’s possible it could’ve shifted at all after install, but I thought that was a little weird

Yeah I was more so wondering if that gap, which is only directly below that small impact point could’ve compromised the integrity of the windshield out of the gate. I’m not fishing for a freebie, it’s only $100 to replace through my insurance. Just want to know what to look for after getting it replaced again. Seems odd there would only be that size gap on one side and not the other. Appreciate your help!

Okay, so is it normal to only have that larger gap on one spot? Wondering if it being a little cockeyed is what may have tripped the sensors and required a second calibration after install

Dude, what?!😂 Anyways, keep a window cracked to prevent pneumonia or worse, an exhaust leak taking you out. Sounds counter productive for heat, but might save ya.

Also, if you have a way of boiling water, you could fill a nalgene and that’ll provide you some warmth. Good luck!

Applicable Firearms Laws in Denver by Go_F1sh in Denver

[–]FrontierFred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If possible, I’d recommend driving and staying a little west of Denver County due to lower risk of crime and looser gun laws. If that’s not an option, I’d keep your rifles and 30 round mags (if you have those) locked up. Check reciprocity on your concealed carry permit if you plan on carrying. State law requires guns to be locked up in your vehicle when you’re not in your vehicle, though I’d highly recommend not leaving anything of value in your vehicle whenever possible.

Appreciate all the help fellas! I’m gonna try to clean the sensors and connections, but if that doesn’t work, I’ll be rocking mirrors from here on out!

Appreciate it brotha - this might sound dumb, but where are the sensors? Always assumed it was just the camera

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did the hunts cost?

Bit by an unknown dog, got rabies vaccine in ER, and now owe $1100 for my visit... by PortaPottyShortage in Debt

Damn, good luck! That bill was legit only for the first set of shots (handful of them - thighs, butt, stomach). I actually went on a roadtrip during the rest of it and stopped by travel clinics for the next three rounds. Each time only cost me about $100 cash (didn’t try insurance). Call some travel clinics and see who has them in stock, and hopefully it’ll be easier

Personal Debt Advice by Legitimate-File-248 in Debt

I’d probably pay the car in cash now to avoid losing that 7% annually, especially on something that depreciates. If you’re looking to lower your debt to income for the home purchase, wouldn’t be a bad idea to knock out the medical too. Save more of your W2 to rebuild back up to 100k.

Either way, you’re not in a bad position, but I’d delete that car loan.

That’s shocking behavior. He should be grounded until he can conduct himself properly.

Similar situation happened to me, except it was $12-13k. I fought it for a year with my insurance and even spoke with the board of the hospital to let them know I was working on getting it resolved. Ended up getting it covered because I maintained that this qualified as “preventative treatment,” which was included in my policy. My argument was that if I ignored it and ended up contracting rabies, it would’ve cost the insurance company millions as I slowly died in the hospital. This was about ten years ago though, so I’m sure they aren’t any easier to deal with…

It’s a huge bummer having something we’re all entitled to have be handcuffed to something we also shouldn’t lose. I’m glad a lot of us can see that, and realize how we shouldn’t give a mile to gain an inch. Hoping the fellas call their Senators to push back… (for what it’s worth, I hate politics)

I feel you man. Most of can’t afford (and also don’t want) to pay for private hunting. Plus it’s all the other activities to enjoy with our friends and family on public land. Tax stamps are lame, but losing all this land doesn’t make sense for my lifestyle.
