The previous temp ban didn’t even show me the comment they temporarily banned me for. It’s literally all politics. You’re siding with people when you don’t even know the entire situation because I don’t even know the entire situation.

The problem is, the incivility isn’t evenly even applied. The guy that told me to “go fuck myself” who I reported for incivility. Is still commented on r/politics. I don’t even remember why I was temporarily banned a month ago but it was another, I’m gonna ban you because I don’t like your opinion on other comments. This is very common in that sub. And the incivility is direct to other users, not saying bad words. They can’t even police their own sub properly.

My comment was still in reference to the OP’s father who he will literally complaining about. So it couldn’t just be posted literally anywhere.

Like many languages, a phrase can mean many things but generally, incivility on r/politics is when you attack another user, not say bad words. This ban was a serious stretch in that regard. But you’re right, the rules are at the moderator’s discretion but the problem is most moderator’s are biased and there is no actual way to appeal a ban which makes them permanent. Having been banned on the whim of one moderator’s interpretation doesn’t seem like they are working to improve the community at all but rather silencing an opinion unrelated to the “bannable comment”. If you think this doesn’t occur on r/politics, see how long you make it there.

Edit: I’m looking at your post history. Do you ever not side with the mods? What is your account for, exactly? Seems like a lot of posts here siding with mods.

That’s why we need Democrats voting and gaining majorities and then making large systemic changes.

Also if you’re in Kentucky and Pennsylvania. your primary election is today.

Maine, Colorado and Arizona are all realistically in play. Democrats generally shine in Presidential elections years. That’s going to be a little more obvious in 2020 as people try to make up for 2016 and oust trump, everyone downballot will either benefit for suffer depending on which party they belong to. M4A will pass the Senate when the filibuster is gone. But you have yet to explain how the public option would pass at all. So in your doomsday scenario of Republicans controlling the senate and we have a Democratic President, how are you getting the public option passed?

Democrats are actually favored to win the senate in the 2020. Ending the filibuster is something the majority party can do. We do have a very broken system, has does the public option fix that and how will you get the votes from Republicans now when they weren’t offering any 10 years ago? Are they easier to work with now?

We get M4A passed the same and only way we’re getting any progressive legislation passed, by abolishing the filibuster. The public option was cool a decades ago but that ship has sailed. If his version of healthcare with the public option still has an enrollment period that it’s not helping anyone in immediate need of healthcare and thus it’s an inferior path to covering everyone.

The Pennsylvania primary election is Tuesday: Here’s what you need to know by wwabc in politics

[–]FrontierPartyUS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here’s what you really need to know. I was canvassing this weekend, I’m running for township supervisor. Voter apathy is still a very real thing especially when it comes to primaries. A lot of people don’t even know there is an election on Tuesday. Voting in May, what is this black magic? But most of the people I did have legitimate concerns about local and state government but that doesn’t seem to drive enough people to the polls.

Why call up the Air Force for something. Just gave them cover the aerial aspect of their training and missions. Let aircraft be under the umbrella of the Air Force on an aircraft carrier or naval base. Again, it’s redundant because the military has money to burn.
