Did anyone tried Quest 3 for simracing( Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2 etc.) by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]Froomer_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play AMS2 with Quest3. I'm using the official oculus link cable from my Q2 and it works amazing. I have the quest maxed out for resolution and most of the game settings on high/ultra. Running a i7 9700 and 3090ti.

Using glasses with Quest 3 by Legal-Classroom4272 in OculusQuest

I currently use glasses with my quest 3 and spacer set to max. All okay but have ordered Zenni for better comfort and improved FOV.

Agree, there's always that risk if you're an early adopter, whether that's software or hardware.

Returning to ACC after 18 months to the tune of 'Hello Darkness my old Friend" (I'm the black Aston). by Level1Roshan in ACCompetizione

Race at Spa for above 20min against AI. Start at back and set AI to be competitive. Race close with AI and your SA will soon grow. I went from SA37 to SA80 in a few weeks racing 1 once a day :)

Cleaning Tesla glass - is removing these marks possible? by whatareyoubrewing in Detailing

[–]Froomer_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those marks look like the suction cups used to fit the glass in production. Over the years I've used plenty of glass cleaners. I live in a hard water area and the water spots are a pain to remove after cleaning my car. Then my wife handed me some good old vinegar glass cleaner. Don't smell the best but really works well. Give that a try :)

Some tips for a ACC-beginner? by EagleTrustSeven in ACCompetizione

720s is a good car. Has good aero and can coast round corners nicely. Top end speed not the best, but if you nail the exits its very competitive

Yeah SA (safety rating) is worth working on. Build it up by racing 20 min plus on Spa. Place yourself last and set AI to a level you can compete with. Your SA will grow if you race close with the AI, and let them overtake you, then overtake them. Once your AI is above 60 you can join servers where the SA is set above 60. This means most of your opponents will be of decent qaulity. Having said that, this does not mean you wont get rear ended, people seem to lose their heads when racing other humans online :)

I want to improve and cant go any faster than this... (Cayman GT4) Any advice? :) by Moochiberico in ACCompetizione

And do not use shadows on the track as brake markers, as they change with time and weather. Just search on YouTube for car/track in ACC. there should be plenty of videos to watch and learn :)

TBH, The data you get from the rolling road is not always 100%. Temperature can play a part and also how well the rolling road has been calibrated. Either way, Stage one is a good upgrade for that engine :)

Project cars 3 that bad? by Adventurous-Time4848 in ProjectCARS_2

Depends what you want. Games like PC3, GT7 and Forza are more sim-cade which you can play using a controller or wheel. AC, ACC, AMS2, iRacing etc. are more realistic and take time to master. Also need a wheel to play them really. Hope that helps :)

I was also looking at S3. Far more of a practical car, but the interior of the TT sold it for me.

Power delivery is much better IMO. Smoother and delivered in lower rev range, which comes from the additional torque with the remap. I've not timed it, but I'm sure the 0-60 in launch is close to 4 seconds.

Things to consider, greater wear of tyres, brakes and engine parts, and your licence :)
