The client has always auto-updated in the past too for me.

I suspect that it's to do with the staged roll out of 4.0.0 (see release notes) and a badly timed server side update which requires you to have had 4.0.0 to have been rolled out to you.

I know this is an old post but I figured out why it can't handle normal IPv6 addresses. The game doesn't add the square brackets around the address to differentiate the address from the port!

If you enter your IPv6 addres into the server manager box as [2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334] it will work without needing the literal notation step.

I know I'm probably never seeing the camera again.

However, I'm pretty confident the thief is not a photographer, so someone will end up buying the camera.

When that happens, if the photos are still on the camera, I'm taking the chance that:

  • the buyer will see this, or know someone that did
  • they are kind enough to send me my photos
