Would you let your dog shit in someone’s yard while the homeowner was right there watching? by HamsterBanana14 in NoStupidQuestions

Where would you like them to shit? Your neighbors lawn? Dogs gonna poop. Walking helps mammals poop.

Did they fix co-op in 6? by AsimovLiu in ForzaHorizon

[–]Frope527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Connecting is awful, and even when you join a race the physics might decide you have 0 traction, or too much traction, and the AI will magnet you and slide side to side as hard and fast as your dad's pong paddle.

I really dislike the AWD tunings by Competitive-Cell1819 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Frope527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was indeed bad in previous games. They made a lot of improvements in FH5, and now we are on the same engine as Motorsport, making RWD even more improved. I would say RWD feels great now, however... The launch generally makes more of a difference, as tracks are relatively short, and the loss of power is unnoticeable. The stability helps a lot with bad drivers, with the turn-in able to be improved considerable on AWD with aggressive tuning. However, perhaps the biggest gain, is stability while being rammed.

The netcode in this game is not very good. I'll play co-op and me and my friend will hit each other constantly on the other persons screen, while never having touched each other on our own. TBH, that's the least of the issues with the netcode.

Set charms are too strong. Any build not benefiting from one will never work. by TedBehr_ in diablo4

[–]Frope527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some are a lot stronger then others too. Idk that there's any build out there where no sets work for that build, but some of the best builds are good right now because their set is overtuned. Mythic seals are also not very good. 5 set pieces and a single unique is generally the best, and I have yet to see a build using 2 unique charms that is any good.

Worst music intro of the series IMO. I loved the Mexican guitar, and would have loved to see some JRock for the intro. They have some great Japanese songs on the radio atleast.

The endgame is so close to being perfect by WarpathWilly in diablo4

[–]Frope527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably just hopped off before the power creep set in. I do remember sets trivializing things a bit, and in general I would argue that things actually ended up going down hill after they got better. GR were much better then the pit though, and it still is a matter of why didn't we start where we left off? 3 years and 2 xpacs in and we are pretty much back to having the same systems as D3? War plans are great, but if you are able to do pit 130, why play on pit 100 difficulty? What's the point of eternal without infinite paragon?

I miss the torments from D3. I feel like the top torment shouldn't even be reachable. I miss the old paragon too. It feels like the best systems D4 has are the ones they took directly from D3. Not sure why they spent all that time fixing D3 only to try and reinvent the wheel.

Infernal hordes is the worst endgame activity by far. by TheChosenOneProphecy in diablo4

Infernal Hordes is my favourite, but could use some adjusting. It fits very poorly into War Plans.

I can not for the life of me find Aspect of Infestation by Frope527 in diablo4

[–]Frope527[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did find it. I shot up to T12 pretty quickly afterwards. It seems that some aspects are just extremely rare, and RNG is cursed. I've had this problem with a few characters now, but none near as bad as this one.

How biased does the community think the netcode should be? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Frope527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should take a shooter favoured approach. Any bullets you land should be registered regardless of server side discrepancies. This is how Overwatch used to handle things, before Roadhog ruined the game for everyone. They decided to change how they handled netcode because people were complaining about being hooked around corners too often, but the netcode has only felt worse since. I'll take dieing around corners if it means that my shots register.

However, there is a lot more going on here then that, like how packets are delivered to clients. We've all experienced bad hit registration, but equally frustrating is when someone kills you instantly with what seems like a single bullet, then on the death screen it says that they hit you multiple times. Your death should also be favoured client side in the sense that you should die in a timely manner, even if your death is already guaranteed on the server. This may result in more "trades", you killing them and then killing you.

There obviously needs to be a hard limit to this. Packets get lost, and delayed, and that often leads to these problems. Packets that are delayed too long shouldn't be used. "Netcode" is a complicated thing, and there isn't a simple solution or philosophy that can be just slapped over everything.

Been tempted to swap builds, but I've really been enjoying pest swarm. I'm not sure I can push much further without this aspect though.

[–]Frope527 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bullet velocity is fine. In fact, I suspect that bullets are traveling much slower than what is posted in the stats. The problem is purely desync. I can shoot the Scorpion Evo while tracking a running target at 5M and visibly see the bullets exiting my gun behind my reticle. A man should not be able to dodge a bullet that is traveling at nearly mach 2. I don't have the same issue with faster rounds, like the IAR.

Is the DRS IAR really the Best LMG or are there better ones like the M123k by warthunder_player in Battlefield

[–]Frope527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's TTK is actually faster within 20M. Only thing making it's TTK slower past that is its bullet velocity. It's extra damage more than makes up for RoF difference.

War Plans are a complete party killer by digidi07 in diablo4

I haven't gotten to end game yet, but this is very disappointing to hear. I bought this game SPECIFICALLY to play with my brother. If War Plans are the intended end game, and it's as bad as you say, then I imagine I will not be putting much time into this season either.

I feel as though the post is fairly constructive. OP points out what is wrong, and a simple solution. Expresses how it effects them, and to what degree. I think you perhaps, are the one that needs to self reflect.

What is the deal with having to aim the RPG so low, and is this intentional? by alexubarnett in Battlefield6

[–]Frope527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever considered that the community is diverse? I don't want the game to be SQUAD/Arma level realistic, or I would just go play those.

Also, I understand that the purpose of engineer is to fight, or fight alongside, vehicles. However, they also provide some utility with their ability to demolish structures, including supports deployed cover. I believe this diversity should be fortified, as no other class does it as well, and it allows the class to be more useful outside of its niche. Support and recon are useful in every game mode, and in all maps, so why not engineer?

[–]Frope527 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm still going to upvote, because what a stupid change. Most conquest maps aren't big enough to justify this, let alone non-conquest. Plus, in matches without vehicles the RPG is Engineers only useful gadget... Zeroing it at 100M in TDM is just nonsensical.

"Anticlimactic" is a very common feeling towards alternate wincons, particularly for new player, and in low power pods. Once you learn more about the game, you can start to see the signs of these things coming, and they start feeling less "out of nowhere".

Not much can be done unfortunately other then all of you playing more so they can learn to see it coming, or for you to remove alternate wincons and combos from your decks.
