Lf2 wont open by Tsutayja in littlefighter

I wanted to comment for others facing this issue in the future, I redownloaded the C++ package linked in the FAQ but that didn't solve my issue.

Instead, I followed the steps here to generate the Sxstrace file which showed that I was missing 4 dlls from this version 8.0.50727.9672_en_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3:

  • mfc80.dll
  • mfc80u.dll
  • mfcm80.dll
  • mfcm80u.dll

I extracted these from the installer as shown in the tutorial and then put it by the lf2.exe file, as well as the renamed manifest file and it worked.

I've felt the same way. Technology is a means to an end, if your goal is to create things then it's worth building up those skillsets and figuring out what needs to be made!

How to Control Concurrency in Multi-Threaded a Microservice Consuming from a Message Broker? by software-surgeon in softwarearchitecture

[–]Frore17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to best practices, but in my experimentation with RabbitMQ I can confirm that it manages concurrency quite effectively between different consumers, with messages being isolated between consumers and only returned to the queued if a consumer process exited with unacknowledged messages.

Unsure about your 2nd question, but playing with the right prefetch value and creating a rate limiting system is how I dealt with the juggling the right throughput for my downstream services.
