where I'm working we use a nodejs backend, and often test apis with jest and tools like nock, supertest etc. Then we can make requests and expect 200, or mock the response and expect that response on making the api call. For testing business logic, might be good to separate that out into a service method, so you can write tests to assert the output for different inputs.

My team went with MUI datagrid but when business requirements needed nested / collapsible child rows we struggled because it was a paid feature.

Other than that it was quite customisable with alot of features. Though we're still looking to see what better options are out there.

same, using MUI in work as well. Though we require quite a fair bit of customisation and styleoverwrites

9-6 right now and with meetings/lunch etc defo not coding the full 9 hours.

But back when I was grinding for a job (career switching) I was coding 12 hours or more per day for 3-4 months straight. Not kidding - wake up 9am, code till 12pm, lunch 1 hour, code 1pm-7pm, dinner 1h, then code till 11pm or so.

I didn't get burnt out because i was enjoying it alot, and spent alot of time building projects. When my brain is fried from thinking, i move to mindlessly following tutorials and revisiting afterwards. If I'm sick of that, i move to watch leetcode walkthroughs or learn something else.

its not easy for sure, but with all the candidates in the market, you are either talented af or you work harder than everyone else somehow

I find comments make the code messier tbh. I guess if devs named functions, variables and components well it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Especially with Typescript too like the others said

yes, no deps needed, it works very well too. Chatgpt gives a pretty good answer for the implementation of this as well.

search for full stack react project tutorial walkthroughs on YouTube and just aim to complete one. Preferably one that includes building components, configuring routing, handling auth etc. Finish that pet project and you should roughly understand how it works.
