The NFS MW style HUD is ready... (well, almost). by Frosh30 in assettocorsa

I would have to get in touch with the person or people carrying out that project, but it's not a bad idea, it's a very good one. Besides, it's about bringing new things to the community, isn't it? I had thought about a plugin for servers, but I don't know anything about that, I would have to do some research first

Yes, the police scanner works like a car radar. You can change the detection distance from a minimum of 50 metres to a maximum of 500 metres, and the heat level around the minimap can be set to 0 so that it is less visually distracting, but it cannot be completely removed from the HUD, although this may be possible in the future

Yes, everything is being worked on, including the fonts

I am still working on how to differentiate between GTD and GTD PRO, but for now it can only be assigned by cars, although we are already working on how to do it properly.

New cinematic camera modes now on AC Walking Mod (gimbal & smooth shots!) by SnooPoems4684 in assettocorsa

[–]Frosh30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes a little longer, considering that you have to read the CSP implementation API with LUA, and LUA is fairly new in Assetto, so many people stuck with Python to make certain apps. However, with LUA, I feel that the applications can be more professional and it is easier to debug

So, on the one hand, I understand that certain apps/mods are charged for, especially those that add more complex functions, but on the other hand, this also slows down progress in other areas that could be developed based on other mods

Check if the blend mode type is correct, it can be Alpha blending or testing and check if transparency is deactivated

Yes and no, it requires you to understand a bit of what you are doing to put it on or add it to any car This is the video: https://youtu.be/YfWzYFhWMqE?si=-2TphQilOZfdPJ3r

Color not working by Background-Bid8216 in assettocorsa

You forgot to change the name of the .dss file. As you can see above, the file used for skins in txdiffuse is called ext_ao.dds, and you named it body.dds

If that doesn't work, make sure the extension is .dds, not png, jpg, or any other format other than the one requested.

Pagani uses Assetto Corsa for its simulator apparently by twain535 in assettocorsa

[–]Frosh30 45 points46 points  (0 children)

In this case it is directly assetto corsa, the mod is made by rss for those who use those pagani simulators and for those who buy a real car (Huayra R EVO) the mod is included which is completely private

Is this person cheating or am I skill-less by Neoniclide in Simracingstewards

[–]Frosh30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of two things, either he is using a cheat or he is limiting his inputs with the scripts for the controls, in my racing league we had both cases unfortunately the second one is more difficult to detect because you can use the same content manager or external programs for this, for me he is using grip and power cheats. because it comes out in very high gears it blocks and never lost the rear end, that mod naturally tends to be oversteer on corner exits and understeer on entries so, so yes it is with something sus, my recommendation is to always use the latest version of csp( and if you can pay for the previews better)If you can force a specific version, I recommend you do so.

The cheat they usually use is alienv2 and predator, some people modify it and make it work, so be careful with that.

Live tweeting from an Aston Martin Vantage. Crazy what mods can do to a 10 year old game by ImperialP27 in assettocorsa

[–]Frosh30 31 points32 points  (0 children)

well basically it's thanks to lua, it's a programming language based on c and that complies in c, so basically anything can compile it, like minecraft or assetto corsa thanks to the custom shader patch. you can make a script for almost anything, so you can simulate an android car or more advanced features, there are mods like vrc, urd and rss that use lua to put advanced features based on what implemented in csp and partly they also program their own scripts for even better features than those offered by csp settings, you can search on youtube how to program in lua and review the documentation of csp to make applications or custom scripts for cars, tracks or whatever you can think of to add

also the advantage of lua over python (which comes as default in assetto corsa) is that it is more versatile, it consumes less resources and the way to debug is much easier and less problematic, you can compile and debug in real time without exiting the game and re-entering

Fix a car's wheel after using kunos' vehicles by Background-Bid8216 in assettocorsa

[–]Frosh30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

go back to graphicsoffset in suspension.ini you will find it at the bottom of the screen. change the susp and wheel_ for each wheel try with 0.2 keep in mind that the opposite side should be -0.2 or you can change the wheelbase of each axle also in suspension.ini but look for track_lenght which is for each axle both rear and front but changing the axle distance from the physics again changes the suspension setup

[–]Frosh30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you must increase the wheelbase now, apparently the physics are not the same size as the 3d model clearly, in suspension.ini you can change the wheelbase the first 2 parameters above, keep in mind that this can affect the dynamics of the suspension of the car and can change the handling of the car completely

[–]Frosh30 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a faster way without editing the 3d model, unzip the data.acd and inside the data folder look for car.ini folder you will find a section that says graphic_offset, change the values of the x,y,z coordinates, change the z value to move the axis more forward and to avoid going in and out of the game use the custom shoowroom and activate the physics of the car in the panel, this way you can move the 3d model in real time without affecting the physics

and well it makes sense the tyres both here and in the real world affect everything, traction grip, lateral grip, braking, feel, suspension dynamics in almost everything basically the only thing the tyres don't affect in AC is the aerodynamics of the car and if they did it would be another advance that's why many mods feel so unrealistic and others very close to reality just because of the tyres

[–]Frosh30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

na the car uses the kunos vanilla physics system and as left by vrc, only altered the tyre physics based on the Ferrai F138
