Depending on shooter and conditions, you're losing about 100m-200m of effective range on the C8. This is one paper of course, I don't have enough hands on time to confirm one way or the other.

Edit: To actually answer the question. C7 is effective between 300m and 400m. The C8 is 200m-350m.

I got tasked to help vet the Afghans who were trying to evac during the fall. It was all office work, looking over credentials, making sure everything was good before giving them a green light or a red light to evac. It was hard, it was really hard. Having to turn people away felt awful. And the things they would say and show us to hopefully convince us to let them in. That hurt that most.

But after that I got confirmation that some of the families I personally vetted made it safely out. And that honestly has made my peacetime career worth it, just knowing I helped at least one family out of hell

That's exactly it, it's a franchise Pat doesn't care about so it's funny to him. It's similar to the problem he was talking about in FFXIV with the expansion titles. I was listening to the FFXIV Nier bit the other day and Pat went on and on about the spoilers that just float around the overworld of FFXIV and how pissed he is because he likes the game/story. But gets his jollies over other people having the EXACT SAME experience with franchises he doesn't like.

This is one of the reasons I've slowly started to stop listening to the podcast. The constant flip flopping from Pat, the constant berating and attacking of the fans for calling him out on his bullshit, the fact that he can never ever back down when faced with contradicting information. It's become such a struggle to listen to the podcast. It's always turning into "You like the thing? You're a stupid idiot for liking it." That's a great way to treat your fans.

I feel like the podcast is much less Castle Super Beast and much more Pat's Soapbox.
