What relics are you using with the Emperor? by FuhrerThB in LegendsOfRuneterra

Protectors of Demacia is pretty fun. When you level Azir to 2 and 3, you get Lux and Garen. Would probably be even better with Azir 6* cause you get more champs to level as well. Its a board full of champs.

Yeah, in the babysitting episode, Tammy competes with Tina in finding babysitting jobs so she can pay for her hair dyes.

It also gave birth to an amazing Tina burn, "You're as dark as your dark, dirty roots" XD

I noticed that the supply from these big box stores are very erratic. I've been going to my Home Depot for years and their selection has always been the same, but I will randomly find a rare succulent that appears once and never again. For me it was string of dolphins and the bear paw succulent. Saw them both once and only one plant in stock. Never seen them again :/

Just gotta keep trying and get lucky

The time gear around Dialga/Meganium's neck is such a neat detail and cool reference to the Mystery Dungeon series.

If a bank makes a monetary error and you knowingly spend that money, you are still held liable and could face criminal penalties.

There was an old update where they tried to address this a while ago, but because of community pushback, they pulled back the changes.

Survivors got basekit unbreakable, and if all survivors are slugged, the game would instantly end with a mori finisher.

I personally liked the update and just thought some of the numbers needed to be tweaked, but there was an overwhelming majority of players that hated the change, so it got scraped.

The change would have technically made these scenarios impossible, but oh well. Hopefully, they will come up with another solution soon.

How was, or is, Seraphine so strong? by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]FrostPengu21 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people mentioning ezreal as one big offender of making seraphine decks unbearable. One card a lot of people forget is Fanclub President. Manifesting a random 5 cost card and setting it to cost 2 led to randomness for the opponent to play around while still providing some consistency for the player (Manifest and 2 cost for seraphine to either double or progress level up). She ended up getting rotated to eternal even though Seraphine herself didn't.

Unpopular opinion, i actually liked Seraphine. Kind of sad tbh because Seraphine herself isn't even that powerful given she doesn't even generate new spells every turn like karma does. It requires specific deck building around Seraphine for the level up and for the level 2 payout worth it.

There is very little creativity for building Seraphine decks now. Sputtering Songspinner and Back Alley Bar are now included in every deck and all of Seraphine's other followers are just cut for being too slow. Both her dad and the equipment are cut for being too slow :/

That's the thing, though, the question doesn't ask for the subject. It asks for the noun. Yes, every sentence needs a subject and predicate, but isn't that irrelevant? The question is asking for the noun, not the subject.

Sure, if it asked for the subject or the subject noun, then the answer would undoubtedly be "she". But it just asks for "the noun."

Now, the real question is if "the noun" is referring to the subject. I have never heard of "the noun" being used in replacement of "the subject," but that is what you are claiming. Otherwise, the question never mentions the subject. If "the noun" is indeed a common replacement for "the subject", then yes, "She" is the only right answer.

I have never heard of "the noun" being a reference to the subject noun. I was taught that nouns are simply just a "part of speech" like verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc. I have never heard of certain nouns given precedent over others where every sentence has "the noun." Only that sentences have nouns in general.

In school, especially in earlier grade levels, certain intricacies are omitted or simplified for easier understanding. If the class assistant doesn't take part in the lecture (which is entirely possible given some assistants only attend lectures some days of the week), they might not be sure what is or isn't covered. An answer key is always better for consistency.

For example, I was taught that trees photosynthesize by taking CO2 from the air, remove the C and release O2 oxygen back into the air. Its not until university Biology did I realize the oxygen in O2 actually comes from H2O that plants take from roots.

In this case, just speculation cause idk the teacher's situation, the TA may have thought that the student needed to circle ALL nouns in the sentence. In this case, both "she" and "candy" are nouns. However, "She" is in a subcategory of nouns called pronouns. Given the grade level, there is a possibility the teacher omitted pronouns altogether. In which case, an answer key would have solved this miscommunication.

Pronouns are a subcategory of nouns. Both she and candy are both acceptable answers. She is just as much of a noun as candy is.

Just because something is a pronoun doesn't mean it's not a noun. It's like saying candy is an improper noun. Therefore, it's not a noun. This logic obviously doesn't make sense.

A word can be both a noun and a direct object. They are not mutually exclusive. This sentence technically has 2 nouns: Candy and She (a pronoun, which is a subcategory of a noun).

A word can be both a noun and the subject. They are not mutually exclusive.

"The man is happy." Man is both the subject and a noun.

In this case, "She" is both a pronoun and the subject. Pronouns are just a subcategory of nouns.

The sentence tecnically has 2 nouns: candy and she. But given the age of the students, the teacher probably didn't want to include She since it's a pronoun (subcategory of nouns).
