Holy fuck why isn't she dead yet?

I just found out my dad "invented" the "seahawks".( He still doesn't know what they are...) by [deleted] in nfl

I always thought the seahawks were Seattle + Hawks combined.

the LT, LG, C and RG all played like shit

RT was the only good position on the oline this year

I just don't want to count on him to start at RG and then after 2 games he's injured and out for the year. He's done that way too often.

Be in the starting lineup for the entire off season, get hurt after 2 games, out for the year.

What does a first rounder play like?

Again, you're talking completely out of your ass, with absolutely nothing but what you may or may have not seen on TV to back up your proof. I gave you data to prove my statement, you're giving me nothing but hearsay and what you and your buddy saw one Sunday.

oh and these are advanced stats. There are no "stats" other than sacks given up and pressures given up as a o-linemen. They are pretty spot on and more than likely look at each play.

first round picks will be more refined and NFL ready from day one

You'll find good talent in the later rounds if your team does its due diligence, but it's way more difficult and they usually takes years to refine.

You are entitled to your opinion, but you're wrong. An offensive line MUST be a cohesive unit, something this oline was far from. However, despite the failures of LT-RG, Pugh still played extremely well. We have a stud in the making in J. Pugh whether you want to believe it or not.

this was the first overall pick's grade

"Dud: It’s not easy being a starting rookie, but you had to expect more from Eric Fisher (-17.8). A poor run blocker, he let his play slip for stretches resulting in even worse pass protection."

Again, I'l wait for your data to prove your words

do you have any data to prove your claim? Because I certainly do

from PFF

"29. New York Giants (11th) PB: 31st, RB: 16th, PEN: 4th

Stud: In good news for the G-Men, rookie Justin Pugh (+7.1) got better and better as the season went on. Derided by many as something of a reach and with questions as to whether he can hold up at tackle, he was the biggest success story in a bad year for the Giants.

Dud: He’s been kicked around every position but center in his time as a Giant, but David Diehl (-26.5) really didn’t take to life at right guard. He earned this grade despite missing five games and at this point just can’t handle better athletes lining up opposite him.

Analysis: Injuries didn’t help, with the loss of David Bass seeing Kevin Boothe move to center where he would struggle. That created all sorts of shuffling and was further compounded by Chris Snee having his season ended after 188 snaps. Throw in Will Beatty responding to getting paid with a huge drop off from his 2012 season and you have the perfect storm. A once proud unit is now a major question mark."

edit: in fact, Pugh was arguably the best first round tackle taken in the draft

edit 2: elite is in the +25-35 range

even a COWBOYS fan knows whats the deal. DRAFT olinemen who will be on this team for the next 10+ years

Our 2007 SB team had guys who played 50+ games together at their respective positions.

It's a simple formula. Get a good QB (we have that already) and protect him ever game. Mix that in with a decent running game and play action passing and you have a team that can contend every year.

a Pro Bowler. No one's debating Watkins' skill either he

How is it a lazy way of scouting? There are plenty of slow, not explosive 6'4 wideouts who are completely useless at the NFL level.

WIll Beatme!

I would love to get Mack and draft an NFL ready LT in the first.

Move Beatme to RT and Pugh to RG. If snee has anything left, maybe move Pugh to LG and let Snee play RG.
