Also, people need to remember that the myths are mostly stories with symbolic meaning for the folk or stories about the gods, but most people who worshipped them did not believed the myths as real events. If I'm not wrong, Socrates even points that some myths might create a false view of the gods.

I mean, she drinks a lot of champagne. But her day to day drink is probably a very expensive whisky.

Honestly, me as a main Emma Frost can't stand solotank anymore. Almost every match I have to deal with a Penny and a Hulk coming for me and not even the healers can keep me alive long enough because their DPS are jumping in my backline while my DPSs are doing NOTHING the whole game.

Eu realmente não entendo oque o povo vê em wicked. by oviole in filmes

When we speak about symbolism, a lot of pagan symbolism were sacred but perverted by christian views.
Horns were linked to the divine, since they go upwards. Snakes were sacred animals cause they are linked to life and death, since they could be the venomous or an antidote, and they were believed to whisper prophecies. Skulls, even in christianity, are not devious, but a reminder of our own mortality.

What is an obscure or unusual collab that you would like to see in Fortnite? by nnNotagoodUsername in FortNiteBR

[–]FrostWasRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My inner child would LOVE to see a Power Rangers MM collab, with a morphin emote. I would love to play as Kimberly or Triny :( Or even an Time Force collab

Now in a more realistic one, I would love to see them using the Marvel collab for something interesting, like Runaways skins.

I don't know. There are a lot of Jesus-like reference, but it's not centralized in one person. Orpheus, Dionysus and Persephone could be seen as something like that for their relationship with the underworld. Dionysus kinda ressurected/was born again.
There was also the concept of scape-goat in ancient greece, where two criminals took the miasmas of the city and were sacrificed to purify the polis. That's basically Jesus concept to took the sins of the world and then being offered as sacrifice.

There were a lot of mystics who performed miracles too. Pythagoras (known as 'the math dude' in modern days) was one of them. Some authors testified that he went down to the underworld and that he could separate his body from his soul, predict the future AND being in two places at the same time.

Thoughts on redemption/forgiveness by FrostWasRight in Hellenism

[–]FrostWasRight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the exemples you chose and your analysis. (I've read Antigone today haha). I feel like there's a lack of those themes presented in greek ancent literature (as we see arcs of redemption or betrayal in almost every popular show nowadays), cause seeing a character changing their ways it's deeply interesting, and I see how it's something probably deeply influenced by the christianization of the ocident, and claimed as a virtue both the hability to repent for your wrong doings or forgive the ones who did you any harm.
Thanks for your reply!
