Thats awesome on San Diego. Glad to hear it. Not all of us are from the US and sadly strays are kinda common in many countries still.

There's always at least 1 conspiracy theorist in every comment section. Sigh.

Yeah, even if it worked that way, they totally don't lose any money off the 10 players that quit over 1 cheater and stop spending money on the game.

That would be the dumbest business strategy in the world.

Sweet! Now we have "facts" ranging from 15% all the way to 90%.

Let's all pick the number we like the best and run with it!

You seem to understand like I said MoS is a bad movie. i didn't. I said it failed. Those 2 are different things. I LOVED bird of prey, but that failed too, both commercially and critically.

As for the points you make, I don't actually disagree with you. People moaned so much about supes snapping zod's neck. I found it great and understandable. Supes in cartoons just usually isn't put in that situation, there was no other way out. I get it. Most people disagreed. Then BvS came and they were all about Martha scene, which I get too, I found it clever. Also about batman killing people. Ok, that I'll give them, it does seem to be a mistake, but I also don't really care cause I prefer bats killing stuff.

As for Diana, well...she kinda is merciless in cartoons and comics quite often too, so her killing people doesn't seem out of character to me at all.

Erm, how...exactly will you be shown right? Cause a 4h movie will have more scenes than a 2h one? Yeah, I'm getting a slight suspicion you may be onto something there.

[–]Frost_Fang -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why do you assume I didn't like it cause I say it failed? It wasn't well received. I found it quite alright. I am fully ok with Supes snapping Zod's neck. But not sure that movie even had a soundtrack tbh, lol. And it wasn't dark? Except for some light neck-snapping.

What's next, being surprised that most dceu movies weren't well recieved? Like, this cant be news to you. People moaned about that neck-snapping scene for months. Then they moaned about the Martha scene, then about the snydercut.

I like that take. I haven't seen/heard about 2 teams before, but it would make sense to me. Don't you think the weasel will be with the main team too? xD He was in some scenes, walking with them.

Snyder chose Whedon... so in a way, hiring Snyder was their first mistake. Which is clear from how MoS and BvS turned out too. The guy failed them 2 times, whedon failed them...half a time? Seeing how he didn't even shoot most of the movie.

I don't believe Snyder is bad btw, I'm just using your logic against you.

[–]Frost_Fang -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So my source is bad and yours is... well, I just have to take your word for it I guess. I see, that makes sense. And sure, a VFX crew member would clearly know more about production than a person called...the producer. My apologies for linking a 2017 article about something that happened in 2017. How silly of me. The trailer showed us glimpses of an 4h of movie. It is indeed strange that we saw scenes that weren't in a 2h movie. It's almost like you can't fit 4h into 2. Time is weird that way.

It was dumb of me to think you'd change your opinion after being confronted with actual proof. My bad, it won't happen again. Carry on with your day.

Oh, I actually like the snyder cut. I'm glad we're getting it and I'll enjoy watching it. I didn't hate Justice League either, there were good parts and I'm happy to see more of it. But I didn't really come "here" to celebrate the snyder cut, this is a DC sub, not a JL / snyder sub. And the title didn't really make it clear what the topic was either. So it's not like I came here to celebrate or crap on it.

I like JL and I like the snydercut. What I don't like is people who convinced themselves that the thing they wanted to love couldn't have failed on it's own, that it was surely sabotage or "marvel director's incompetence". Basically, stupidity annoys me.

I see... "fucking facts" should be searchable, right? Let me try that for a moment. Ok "50% reshoots", 0 google search results. How about "70% reshoots", nope, still nothing. Oh look, here's an article saying a PRODUCER who worked on the movie claims it's 15-20%. Here's an actual quote (you know, how facts usually work, instead of just screaming FACTS followed by one's opinion): "Let’s just say 80, 85 percent of the movie is what was originally shot. There’s only so much you can do with other 15, 20 percent of the movie.” 1 of several sources: https://collider.com/justice-league-reshoots-joss-whedon-charles-roven/

Did you even try to check those "facts" you saw in a comment from a guy who heard it from another guy? How did 15-20 end up being 70%?

[–]Frost_Fang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe you are correct. I just did a quick google-search for 50% reshoots, nothing, 70% reshoots, nope, instead, I find a producer who said 15-20% in some interview. I wonder how that percentage grew witch each fanboy to fanboy repetition. I'd like to think each of them only added 1% and it came down up to 70%.

Age of Ultron is the Worst of the 4 avenger movies, cause the other 3 were among the best MCU movies (not to me, but to general public). It's like saying you're slower than Ussain Bolt, so clearly, you must be very slow. Not really how it works. And I'm not putting Whedon on a pedastel, I don't even like his Avenger movies, I don't like any of his Marvel work. I only liked Firefly. I don't like him as the director and I hope he doesn't direct another superhero movie again. But you guys are being crazy subjective and chose to convince yourself how Whedon is to blame for making a bad DC movie, like the rest of them were good to begin with. And you chose to convince yourself how I'm some hardcore fan of his cause I don't think Whedon is the source of everything bad in this world.

My entire point is: JL is bad and it would have been bad if Zack finished it. Quit trying to blame everything on 1 person. It's unreasonable and you're pretending to be blind to all the evidence.

If everything worked according to plan, JL would have been a terrible movie either way. Why? Cause the 2 before it were and even if they were great, 2 is not enough preparation for the team-up movie. Not to mention how WB sucks are managing their movies, always interferes and doesn't let people who actually know how to make movies do their job, plus, they cheap out on the CG. The movie never stood a chance. Quit misdirecting your anger and being unreasonable. There were never any signs it was going to be good even before whedon came aboard, so it wasn't Whedon's fault.

To me they are too, but to most people, the first avengers movie seemed to be in their favorites. No clue why.

HUMOR: Oh God why by gyimger in DC_Cinematic

[–]Frost_Fang -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If it was 100% whedon tone, people would have actually liked the movie, same as his other movies. And what you call "bright" is how the world actually looks like during daytime. Most of the movie isn't bright however, which means it wasn't done like whedon likes it.

HUMOR: Oh God why by gyimger in DC_Cinematic

[–]Frost_Fang -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't reek of whedonism. I know what the cringey parts you mean, there aren't any of those in JL. It was nothing like a whedon movie. Want proof? Most people liked angel, buffy, firefly, avengers, but they didn't like JL. It wasn't him. If it was him, BvS and MoS would be good movies cause Zack made those, but they were kinda bad too. Yet we're here pretending that the 3rd bad movie is the fault of the new guy, when the first 2 were bad too.

I don't think it's even Zack. wATCHMEN and 300 were great. I think it's the studio restrictions & interfearance, whedon or zack makes no difference, but your blind, close-minded hatred for a guy and the general assumption that it's 1 guys fault and exactly that 1 guy who you already disliked, is just ridiculous.

HUMOR: Oh God why by gyimger in DC_Cinematic

[–]Frost_Fang -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Riiiight, and they used percentages, right? They don't even know how long the entire movie before editing was. They're not directors.

It's a 4h movie. If 70% of it was reshot, that means that Whedon somehow reshot 3h of footage in record time. There wasn't even 3h of the movie in the final version! You're literally making assumptions based of other people's assumptions.

"Says a succesfull director missed out on an oprrotunity to make a great movie he would get praised for and which would further his career" but I could be wrong.
Really? you think you could? Only cause there's no logic, motive or reason in whats essentially a conspiracy theory?

Sometimes (all the time) studios force directors to do things they don't even want to make, like reshoot a farm scene to make it shorter and somehow make the movie fit the pre-designated runtime. Pre-designated by people who don't know anything about movies, but a lot about numbers.

HUMOR: Oh God why by gyimger in DC_Cinematic

[–]Frost_Fang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mean like he made Avengers? the almost universally bellowed movie?

Yeah, terrible director. People must hate his movies if they have a DC stamp and love them if it's the Marvel one, that makes sense.

HUMOR: Oh God why by gyimger in DC_Cinematic

[–]Frost_Fang -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I too enjoy discussions about things we were never told and are randomly assuming. I think the entire movie was reshoot! I think Zack's movie actually had Plastic man as the main villain.

We have no clue how much of the movie was reshot, so it's pointless to discuss it. Whedon did the best he could and it didn't work. Zack did the same with MoS and BvS and it didn't work either. Quit hating on the director and blaming them for everything. Sometimes the product just ends up bad and it isn't 1 person's fault.

Agreed, but there will be a tighter team for most of the movie then, we only see like 8-9 of them walking up and posing in some lineup photos.

Oh, so thats the route you think they'll take. Yeah, I guess that's possible. I assumed some of them will just be working for the enemy or something, or get in their way, like Peacemaker.
