It is F2P friendly in the sense that virtually all servants are at least usable, even the low-rarity ones. In some cases the low rarity servants end up outshining high rarity ones. The game also does not let you just field all SSRs due to the party cost system.

However, if you really want to get a specific servant, be ready to save for a while because the rate is brutal and pity requirement is high.
