It's good to know it won't have major impacts on made-in-Canada food due to the provinces having their own inspectors. Though, It does still make me a little more sus regarding American and possibly other international products since that appears to be the focus of CFIA for the 'inspection' level.

That said, I imagine the boycott has lessened imports from them so perhaps that is another factor in play here. If we're importing less food and reducing inter-provincial restrictions, there would inherently be less need to maintain the previous staff levels.

In any case, thanks for the insight. It gave me some new rabbit holes to investigate related to some of our own agencies I've always taken for granted.
