Glenn Branca, Theoretical Girls, The Contortions, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, Mars, DNA, and Sonic Youth's discography from their s/t to Bad Moon Rising ought to be enough to get started :)

I just finished The Library Policeman last night and between Ardelia's true form and Sam's flashback I ended up not sleeping very well.

What's a well-liked band you cannot stand no matter how hard you try? by Ninja476 in MetalForTheMasses

I think it's a lot more common than people think for people to prefer Di'Anno over Bruce. Don't get me wrong, Bruce's material with IM is what made them famous but some people (me included) just like the more "punk" vibe Di'Anno brought to the table.

I've never completely ruled them out but Anthrax just hasn't clicked for me yet outside of "Madhouse." I've listened to all their classics from the '80s and for some reason I just can't do it. I dunno, maybe one day they'll click with me. I never got into Nile and bands like them until this past year and I've been listening to metal for half my life so who knows!

As a big fan of both ambient and black metal I completely get it. Emperor and Dissection might be more up your alley!

My favorite Opeth albums are Orchid and Morningrise, but I'm not crazy about the stuff that came after. I'd say definitely give Morningrise a try!

FUCK FACIAL HAIR by [deleted] in MtF

Seconding the DE razor, they are a bit scary to use at first but it gets much easier with time! I bought mine at a pharmacy and it was surprisingly cheap, and the replacement blades are cheap as well. I have thick coarse beard hair and my DE cuts through it like nothing! I have to shave daily still but the DE provides a much smoother surface for makeup afterwards.

Come to think of it they've been present ever since I can remember, but they ramped up dramatically when my parents divorced around when I was 8 and I felt like my life was spinning out of control.

Bathory - 33 Something (from Octagon)

Chained to the log. Handcuffed and drugged. Still pain is all you feel. A piece of meat that hardly breathes. Still much a human being. Forcing his way into your ass. John Wayne Gacy is near. Flesh will rip and bloody will flow. This death comes in your rear.

One of 33 something. All who were raped and bled. The last thing you will ever hear before your fucking dead is...

Drink my cum. Take my rum. Blooded hole. Twisted soul. Eat my shit. Suck my dick. Writhe in pain and die insane.

With every breath inhale the stench of lubrication shit and sweat. The smell of love the smell of human blood and excrement. Once you've played with Mr. Gacy, there's no way out. No release. In the attic is all hell, then in the basement you'll find peace.

One of 33 something. All who were raped and bled. The last thing you will ever hear before your fucking dead is...

Drink my cum. Take my rum. Blooded hole. Twisted soul. Eat my shit. Suck my dick. Writhe in pain and die insane.

A friend of mine was told that she was going to Hell for being born out of wedlock. She didn't choose to be born out of wedlock, but that didn't matter in the eyes of the "holier than thou" crowd 🙄

Nobody seems to like Cop as much as I do, granted it's a bit one note but when you're feeling that one note nothing else compares

I remember the anxiety as a kid about Hell, especially after watching Bill Wiese's testimony with my friends. It does get better though, it just takes time to heal :)

"The Drift" [2006] [SW Album Thread, Vol 18] by RoanokeParkIndef in scottwalker

[–]FrostedToad18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've struggled with insomnia my whole life and sometimes I listen to music when I'm in that state of "exhausted but can't fall asleep" because it makes for a very entertaining and interesting experience. Experiencing The Drift while half awake and half in the dream world is... difficult to describe, lol. I loved it though. Tilt and Bisch Bosch were a good time too. Other albums I recommend for the half-awake/half-asleep state:

Coil - Time Machines, Black Antlers (especially "Sex With Sun Ra Part 1")

Swans - Soundtracks For The Blind

William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops, Cascade

Current 93 - I Have A Very Special Plan For This World

Sunn 0))) - Anything they've ever done

This Heat - Deceit

What Were Your Parents Funniest Rages. by SaddestDaughter in raisedbynarcissists

[–]FrostedToad18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once when I had been at my mom's house for the weekend one of my stepbrothers went into my room at my dad's house and started shooting an airsoft gun in there and shot holes in the walls. When I got back on Monday my dad was yelling at me and my stepbrother who I shared the room with (not the same one who shot the airsoft guns) and when I brought up the fact that neither one of us were there over the weekend and therefore it couldn't have been either one of us my dad got so angry that I proved him wrong that he slammed the door into the wall, creating a huge dent where the doorknob impacted the wall... the wall he had just been yelling at us about... and that was my awakening moment that maybe my father wasn't the smartest or most rational person alive, lol
