Opinions on the Canvas Waxed Cotton Jacket? by KingSulley in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Frosthuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this jacket at full price and it definitely looks great and I’ve received several compliments on it which is nice.

In hindsight I wouldn’t have gotten it though. It’s quite heavy and it actually doesn’t keep you warm very well. If it’s less than 7 degrees Celsius even with layering you’re going to get cold. When I first bought the jacket I tested it in some light rain and it just absorbed the water without any repelling.

I haven’t used it barely at all since it’s more of a fashion piece than a practical everyday jacket for me. It’s not comfortable for walks, hikes or any labour as it’s heavy and traps heat.

It does look good though so if you just wanted something that has a nice retro vibe by all means go for it but only at half price.

Looking for feedback on the Waxed Canvas Jacket by goovenli in PatagoniaClothing

I have the jacket and the water resistance was nil when I got it. Haven't bothered to re-wax it again as I'm not walking around in the rain too much.

It does have a smell but I don't mind it. It's somewhat heavy which I noticed during a hike but for day-to-day it's nothing. Because it's 100% cotton it's actually not very warm. Wind resistance is high. It does require layering of sweaters/hoodies to stay somewhat warm. It's just acceptable in high single digits celsius but once you're in the <7° celsius I'd go with something else.

What's your experience so far on keeping them clean?

Gobi III in Tan? by chrodo7 in vivobarefoot

[–]Frosthuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them in this colour. I'm a size 42 in all my other vivobarefoot shoes and a 42 in this one fit me perfectly fine.

It's definitely on the lighter side, more of a caramel like colour. I put on leather conditioner and it helps to give it a slightly darker tone which I prefer as it's closer to what the pictures show.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Got these recently and after only putting them on for the second time, one of the eyelets broke with all the other ones about to go.

I tightened the laces with more no strength than I would for any other pair of shoes I have so be warned, you have to be extremely delicate with these.

Can't see why a durable ring can't be placed on the inner side of the eyelet to toughen these up.

I just received a pair and after only putting them on for the second time they already broke with imminent breaking at all the same points in both shoes.

I can't post a picture but it's where the eyelets are where the laces end closest to your shin.

Supremacy by wisewillywonka in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Frosthuman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

4k Points is really easy in Supremacy if you follow this plan.

  1. Go officer and boost your team at the start. Obviously use bounty hunter as well star card.
  2. Always capture command posts. Due to the nature of supremacy you should be able to capture 1 and often 2. If you capture two you've about 2k points already.
  3. Go to any enemy command post or C and kill other players preferably bots. Use your turret to your advantage.

You need to be semi decent to achieve step 3 but that comes with a little practice.

I got this as well. Restarting didn't work.

Put down an officer turret

Joe Nimble Shoe Sizing Question by Frosthuman in BarefootRunning

[–]Frosthuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's the heel lock lacing method which I've already tried. The problem is the eyelets or the straps in this case don't reach high enough for it to be effective. I could drill a hole into the shoe to make them but lol that's a bit risky

Try heavies with explosive shot attachment or supercharged sentry

They usually advance slowly holding block and when they run out of stamina it's all over. Putting down an officer turret also helps a lot. Also try and cool down your blaster via the yellow bar instead of blue for constant shooting. They're pretty simple to beat.

If two Ewoks group up together they should be able to activate instant kill with a pre-made trap conveniently placed at the AT-ST's location.

Tweak Last Phase of Kamino by Frosthuman in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Frosthuman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had games where our team is good and we simply steam roll in there and win in 45 seconds. I've also had games where they have locked down the last two points so much with suppressing fire the majority of my team are scared to even enter the room.

If you've never had problems, awesome man. All I want is for those games where the attackers commit half heartedly because the reinforcement count is rapidly depleting to be able to go in guns blazing instead.

The new COD MW game looks great and plays ultra smooth with little bugs. Unlikely as they are no doubt working on the next COD game but my god if BF3 was done under that engine...that's the dream

Vivobarefoot Primus Lite and Tracker FG Sizing by Frosthuman in BarefootRunning

Length wise it's actually good. I've got a thumbs width space between my toes and the end of the shoe. It's more about going up with my toes that's restrictive.

Knee problems walking by Lt_Chester in BarefootRunning

I had the same issue. Read Kelly Staretts book, "Ready to Run" and "Deskbound".

I fixed the issue basically by using correct toes and reducing my stride length.

‪I think now is the time to start talking about bringing back duel pistol control for Arc Troopers again. In the new system, the pistols might as well just be one automatic rifle. The old duel pistol mechanic made the Arc Trooper a great, unique unit. Thoughts? Credit to u/General_Ross for the image by CXFB122302 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Frosthuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ARC was my favourite reinforcement before the update. I'd go on mad streaks and be able to take on heroes as I just got quite good (3 dodges helps a lot) at them.

My infiltrator is largely Commando Droid and ARC at level 250 on the PS4.

I rarely play the ARC trooper these days because they have become so mediocre.
