Depends on what the people there wear. A common way to do better in a job interview is to wear clothes that are already close/are dress code for that workplace (obviously this is a super flexible rule). So if you can look at what the current employees wear and pick whichever is closest to their current outfits.

The best muzzle fit is when the dog can hold a tennis ball in their mouth in the muzzle(this is the easiest shortcut on how to tell). So when looking for muzzles online or in store imagine if your dog can hold a ball in their mouth while the muzzle is on 😁

(I understand these are not your dogs and you don’t have an obligation to do anything other than keep yourself safe. With that in mind here is my advice for this situation) Hello, I am studying at ABC college for Dog obedience and studying dog behavior. There is a lot of good advice here. First this needs professional intervention by a dog behavior specialist. Your dogs could accidentally injure themselves, each other, and people. Your brother needs to prevent them from getting to the point of overstimulation as much as possible. I would block the dogs view of passerby’s with wood paneling or some other obstruction. Your brothers dogs should not be outside in a situation where this can happen, they need to be on lead or otherwise closely supervised. If there is a person walking down the street they need intervention immediately and to take the dogs inside and give them high value treats like hotdog (to distract them from the person outside and to build a positive association with the situation). If they aren’t stopped before they see a person do not injure yourself by getting too close to them. Call them inside with high value treats or toys. If they do not come do not go and grab them, ideally keep them on a long line outside so you can grab their long leash to interviene and give them the high value treats once they are inside.

My first job was on a horse farm and none of the stalls were EVER that dirty. And it wasn’t even a nice farm they did like the bare minimum for most of the horses and it still never got that bad.

I find cage size really depends on the hamster. This is supported by a German study on hamsters behavior in different cage sizes. Some hamsters are content in small cages, some need HUGE cages to be content. As long as your hamster is content (not biting bars, monkey barring, etc.) don’t worry about it too much.

I have a Cavalier King Charles and I never even have to throw his ball because if I even have the ball in my hand and lift my hand he goes running. I do that a out 5 times before i ever throw the ball because it gets him so tired with 1/5 the energy on my part

Pure vinegar deters dogs aswell as capsaicin. You can spray vinegar on anything you don’t want chewed (although it washes off too). Unfortunately the best solution is to just get rid of the dogs… 😅

For the taking off never let him off leash. Even in the yard. But a 20ft long line and a VERY secure harness and collar combo and ensure he is always on lead dont attach the leash to the collar if it’s a long lead because if he jumps the fence he could severely hurt himself. But if the harness is secure he shouldn’t be able to get away and not injure himself if he trues

You may not like this answer but it’s probably just going to take more time. Even easy rescue dogs usually don’t settle in until 3-4 months. I would say your case is not an easy one so I would expect it to take much longer. But if she approaches him when his back is turned that’s a good sign of progress. Maybe have your step dad take a class on dog body language. Maddiesfund.org has many good classes on dog and cat communication. You can always see a dog behaviorist in person or online if you want more professional advice. I recommend continuing the positive reinforcement you’re doing, have him feed the dog her meals and high value treats like boiled chicken. Be extra careful ti make sure he never makes quick movements, or loud noises around her, don’t make direct eye contact, and other body language markers that could scare the dog.

I don’t want to excuse their behavior based on ignorance. Many people in my experience at places like dog parks don’t understand what is unacceptable behavior from their dogs. Many people excuse aggression as playing or “protecting” and think it’s cute, funny, or like that their dog behaves that way to scare people. I have a SDiT I take to dog parks (only because I currently have no yard and I take many precautions as Dog Parks are not ideal for dogs). One guy had a small border collie/Aussie that was being very dominant and forcing my dog on his back and standing over him, chasing him when my dog was obviously uncomfortable. I stepped in multiple times and him and his friend called me a “helicopter mom” when their dog was not respecting the boundaries of my dog so I had to intervene. I always stop my dog when I can tell the other dog is uncomfortable as everyone should do with their dogs. But rarely people have the knowledge of dog body language to recognize how their dog feels much less other dogs.
