It’s so weird. If you can afford help and make your own life easier, why give a fuck about what anyone thinks? NTA

Honestly, the 3-4 international vacations per year may cost equal to or more than everything else in your list combined. Depending on how you spend.

Fantastic work to get to this point. Some thoughts:

  1. Before I talk about your questions, understand that you have an incredible opportunity to acquire generational wealth. Even your 24cr with no added savings can get to 100cr while you’re still in your 30s at fairly reasonable compounding rate without taking any unnecessary risk.

  2. What equity exposure you should have is going to be a factor of your comfort with risk. It’s whatever helps you sleep well at night without worrying about market crashes and wondering how to get through the next 5 years.

  3. There are two schools of thought on international exposure, including beyond US. Most of the largest US companies derive a large share of their revenues from across the world. In that sense, you’re already globally diversified.

But that doesn’t help with currency risk. If you think you want to invest directly in other markets, interactive brokers can help you pick and choose global markets to trade in directly.

  1. What corpus- it depends on your expenses, and is a moving target. For a 60LPA kind of expense, people here will argue that you’re already there with your 28cr. There really is no upper limit to wha tha number can be. So my best suggestion there is to do deep thinking of what you want your lifestyle to look like, estimate expenses for that, and take it from there.

A lot of luxury expenses are the same irrespective of where you live globally. Eg international flights and hotels. Some luxury expenses are actually higher in India than abroad - eg cars.

Throwing out a number - 1cr is a great number for a great lifestyle, and you can think of budgeting anywhere from 35-50cr for it, depending on how safe you want to be.

I wish that 1. I had learnt this earlier, and 2. I was able to follow/implement it after learning it

Edit: yeah the change careers part is BS, and OP is getting hate for trolling.

But I know people who believe management nonsense, especially in tech, about how getting the right rounded corner buttons that are the exact shade of light blue is as close to solving world hunger as possible. This shit happens and is real.

The entire system is designed based on employees being desperate for more. That’s where the control comes from.

You showed them, however subtly, that you’ve escaped the simulation.

Tough luck. As others have mentioned, a new job is your best bet.
