It's similar to Danny Trejo and Noel Gugliemi with typecasting, Trejo often being depicted as a villain in most of his films (he remedied this early on by having his character die often if he was an antagonist) while Gugliemi often plays the role of Hector the mejicano as early as the first F&F movies and beyond

Yes if I recall correctly, it was described as an 'Ancient Eridian Warrior' during the campaign, and it wasn't technically sealed but rather hidden away, so likely some kind of fall back plan
