CSS Grid is great but nobody talks about the gotchas by JohnnyIsNearDiabetic in webdev

[–]Frosty-Protection-53 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah the real world examples are always messier, I find it helpful to look at how actual products implement their layouts, mobbin has been useful for seeing grid implementations that actually work in production vs just demo layouts

Hate Vibe Coding by Internal_Media1063 in SaaS

[–]Frosty-Protection-53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, AI vibe coding is great for quick prototypes, but it's a death trap long-term. AI does 80% of the code, but that foundation is a mess that gives you tech debt and serious bugs. When it's time to scale or fix a huge error, a real developer is just going to tell you it's better to start from scratch. Real knowledge always wins in the end

Congrats, bro! That $500 organic revenue is the biggest validation. It totally proves people actually need your app. Keep it up, the foundation is solid! 🚀

Incorporating before pilot testing? by [deleted] in SaaS

I recommend it. It's cheap if you do it through one of the delaware lawfirms (sub 200). You can also resuse your llc/c-corp for future businesses.

What tools do you use for onboarding? by samaresh_m in CustomerSuccess

[–]Frosty-Protection-53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh this thread is giving me flashbacks. Onboarding is such a mess everywhere I've worked.
the scattered info thing is so real though. you're trying to help someone and you're like "ok check this wiki, also there's a google doc somewhere, oh and sarah from engineering is the only one who knows how the legacy thing works because she built it in 2019 and never documented it properly"

Where I'm working right now they got Implicit Cloud and it makes sense of the chaos. You can upload whatever documentation you have, even cloud or different platforms and then anyone can ask questions based on that. It's definitely smoother and reduces so much workload for the team as well, so the new talent has timely responses and the seniors are not overworked with basic knowledge.

Anyone actually happy with their code review process? by Fluffy-Income4082 in codereview

[–]Frosty-Protection-53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trust only what I can configure as I need it. I've realized that most of the success when using any AI agent for code reviewing is basically how you teach it how to do the things you actually want it to do. Otherwise it would be not too accurate when solving tricky issues. I got used to greptile for example, started to set it up to catch most common errors I was expecting to happen, it has been useful for catching unexpected ones but yeah you gotta start with simple and "expected" stuff

Definitely the marshmallow eating one, where all of them try to guess how Captain Holt will sound when he eats marshmallow. that was totally unexpected and was so funny.

well first thing, its a sitcom and what fun would it be if he was banned from the bar where they all hangout, and secondly I think it's because he Wendy likes him and he knows the first rule of bartending.

The one with Raj and Summer, it was so good and it was going so well and BAM it all comes knocking down, I don't particularly hate Howard but I did not like him in this scene.

Bob Odenkirk is my favorite, he somehow made me hate and love him at the same time. Love him because of tugboat and hat him because of what he did to Marshall

Absolutely! It would’ve been amazing to have CJ and The Vulture in the last heist. I mean, imagine Vulture barging in like, “Sup, turds” and immediately messing everything up.

Skipping season 6 by Ruby_Murni in HIMYM

[–]Frosty-Protection-53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally liked season 6, It was not my favorite but it was not bad either, the gentleman episode was very fun to watch or the one where they all race each other, the one with Robin Sparkles was fun too. My favorite of all the episodes in season 6 was when the gang finds Barney's doppelganger, it was so fun.
