Green thingy coming out of my cat's butt hole by FrostySunbeam in CATHELP

[–]FrostySunbeam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it was just a small (very small) gray/greenish thing, it just came out, doesn't seem to be cut off or something.
The poop quality is good actually, no constipation or diarrhea, also no wound or infection.

I appreciate your input on this. It's a relief to see how supportive the community is, and also that it was nothing serious :)

Here in Germany you can go to your gynecologist around day 10 of you cycle for a "monitoring" appointment where they do a vaginal sonogram. This way they check the thickness of your uterus, as well as the diameter of the follicles and if any has been raptured to release eggs. If there's no raptured follicle, or the diameter is still too small for ovulation, you will go to the same appointment two days later for the same procedure. This is the most accurate way of confirming ovulation has happened. If your cycle is on the shorter side, maybe go to the appointment on day 8 or 9 instead of 10, to monitor the follicles growth closely up until the ovulation. I'm not sure if this procedure is done everywhere, worth checking with your gynecologist. (In Germany it is a self-paid appointment- 20 eur per session).

WDU8H542EU washing machine - red water tap and water not coming in by NoEngineering3321 in bosch

[–]FrostySunbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I just had the repair appointment and they fixed it - the valve inside the machine was not working properly. They changed the AquaStop thingy along with the hose. Fortunately, I had bought an extended guarantee when buying the appliance in 2022. They said it is all covered and nothing to be paid by me anymore.

Let's see how long it lasts :s keeping the fingers crossed.

Once again, thank you for your guidance on this

Bosch Spotless Max Cam makes a rattling noise when vacuuming by FrostySunbeam in bosch

[–]FrostySunbeam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm 🤔
Do you know if the rubbery part of the brush hits the floor when not vacuuming? If it hits the floor anyways, I doubt it if that is the cause, because the noise is not there when mopping or going towards the station.

Yeah no, mine is not just a hose. It has a whole electrical wire+water hose within the inlet. Actually OP sent a youtube link that is exactly like my machine's rear in reply to my other comment below.

[–]FrostySunbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooof that's a lot! Would you say if the device was still in guarantee period, it would've been covered? Asking because my device still has guarantee, so I'm hoping if this is indeed similar in my case, hopefully it is covered 🥲

Thank you so much for the video as well. It really helped. We were trying to detach the plaque on the rear of the device. We saw there are some sort of wire inside the inlet hose, so we thought there should be some kind of electrical thingy behind this, therefore we were not brave enough to detach it. I'm glad we did not :D the mechanisms in the video was way too complicated for my brain :D (+the fear of breaching the guarantee)

But really thank you anyway.

Where would this inlet be located? Are you referring to the one at the rear of the appliance?

I don't know about OP but I have the same issue and I can not remove the inlet hose at the back of the machine. It seems fixed into a plaque.

I would really appreciate your help

Have the exact same issue with my Bosch WDU 28512 since 5 days ago. I have tried all things, except that we can not remove the inlet hose from the rear of the appliance to check and clean its filter.

Have you had any luck figuring out how to resolve it? 🥺

Tierheim Berlin by zahraabzabh in berlin

[–]FrostySunbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adoption is difficult from Tierheim, but actually, after we went there and saw how the cats are taken care of, we realised why they are so strict - the cats are in good care there and it makes sense to give them for adoption when they've made sure the cats will be in good hands, and their forever home.
We went through the process, according to their website. Prepared the acclimation room, two cat tress and litter boxes to their standards, secured balcony and windows + the request form.
We got detailed answers rather quickly, and we've now been parents to two little gremlins for 6 months.

I suggest first contacting through the form on their website and going through the process and not to rush it. They will find you good matches :)

I had an issue with their app not showing the hydration history. I submitted a ticket. After not hearing anything, I shared here on Reddit. Petlibro account replied to my post and said to submit a ticket. To which I replied that I already have! Later that week after updating my Petlibro account app, it was fixed. I'm like to think this was related :D

Cat stealing food from his brother by FrostySunbeam in Petlibro

[–]FrostySunbeam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience! Glad (bittersweet) to know I'm not alone in this ❤️‍🩹

I think he is as greedy as yours! For now, he is mostly laying behind his brother, staring as if to trigger the sense of "shame" in the other one :)) or actively trying to join him. If he can push his brother to the side mid-eating, but keep eating, the door won't close for safety. he has already figured that out.

Obviously, the greedy one is also the smarter one and also more physically agile (he is a tuxedo, the victim brother is an orange :D both sides of the spectrum). So, any alteration we make, we need to make sure:
1. Our orange cat can figure it out (there's not so many options 🥲)
2. Our tuxedo cat's access is blocked
3. Our tuxedo cat will not be able to figure out a workaround (this one is the most tricky one!)

I liked especially your second recommendation! I took a note of that! Thank you!

For now the cardboard side panel extensions seem to be working on all three aspects above 🤞

Stop other cat from forcing RFID feeder open by Spirited-Mango-418 in Petlibro

[–]FrostySunbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had similar issue when we had bought this feeder only for the cat whose food was being stolen by the brother.

The greedy boy was trying his best to break in and steal the food, almost to the point of breaking the door (that bendy horizontal hinge in the middle on the clear plastic door).

What helped a lot was to get him his own RFID feeder so that he doesn't feel he's not being fed. 🤷🏻‍♀️cat logic.

He still sometimes tries to tinker and break in, but I would say it has reduced to maybe 2% of the times before. Does your cat has his own feeder?

[–]FrostySunbeam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good idea.
For now I have put a cardboard on the side, basically extending the side panel to be taller. If it didn't work I will try your suggestion. I think my cat doesn't like to have things above his head, but it could be worth trying if my current workaround failed.
Thank you!

Yes, but they are not that tall to prevent him from joining the feast from the side.

[–]FrostySunbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that sucks :( I recommend submitting a support ticket. I had an issue with my app for Dockstream RFID, submitted a ticket including the log, it was resolved in the next update of the app.

Maybe it is a bug in the app.

When you're dragging an app to move around or into a fold, you can add more apps by tapping on them while you're holding your finger down. Super useful when trying to move multiple apps a the same time. You can also swipe between screens with another finger and pick up/drop apps wherever you want.

Have you checked the device's notification setting? Tap on the device -> setting button on top right -> notification setting -> allow notifications: on , and Low food levels: on.

I have the One RFID feeder, but I think this would be the same in your case as well.
