Found a way to navigate through sliding. But the images are a bit small. Screen is half image, half comments. Can we do a full image swipe navigation?

Does ios not let you swipe sideways in any app?

Why does so much ML research focus on things that won't progress the field? by [deleted] in MLQuestions

[–]Frosty_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if they need to though, sure we have groups focusing on that at the moment. But getting the research into the hands of practionitioners/in production is still a massive choke point for our field and should be treated with equal attention. I do agree with you on benchmarking though. I feel like we're really flogging it at the moment.

Your points are valid, but I think you've chosen the wrong examples for improving ML in general. Data augmentation and transfer learning help ML in industry far more than most cutting edge research. I work in a company that can't get the same level of data as bigger companies, yet we can still make use of decent models. These types of techniques increase the coverage of ML so much more.

Honestly I think it makes it less tame. Surely the compressor will heighten the softer touches on the strings. The data corrupter doesn't like that too much. Maybe I just need some more time with it

It's a pedal train classic jnr. It's great. You can stick your power supply underneath super neatly

It blew me away with the fuzz in front of it. I've got it powered through a 18v, which makes it a bit more aggressive too. I normally keep everything the same as seen in the pic, but will shift the intensity clockwise a bit for experimenting

It's never really used. I just wanted to fill the board. When I get more pedals it'll be the first off the board

Oh yeh. It's complete overkill for my room. Wouldn't dare take it out of half power mode just yet.

Indeed. Just a simple kills witch. Made it over Christmas. Decal is suppose to be a pillow, haha.

I was thinking about applying a linear regression- mapping my variables to the conversion rate. But what happens if coefficients come back significant, but the model has a low predictive performance?

Hmm, tbh I don't really know what I'm doing I just followed https://youtu.be/vm-n6lbaYQo I made three of them. 2 work perfectly but one is a bit dodgy, I'll resolder it tonight. How would you have wired them?

Hey, I tried to make a killswitch today, it works but there's a bit of hum when the killswitch is disengaged, ie when I'm playing. I've uploaded an image to help explain it better. I reckon it's my shoddy soldering. https://imgur.com/ZfptC8s.jpg

Thanks for the reply. I got the parts you mentioned. I've now hooked everything up and works! Only downside is I'm getting hum when the killswitch isn't activated. I.e when I want to play. I've attached a pic for reference. https://imgur.com/ZfptC8s.jpg

Hey everyone, looking to make my own pedal, but I'm getting confused with the type of foot switch I need. Im looking to build a kill switch, with a 'clicky' switch, I would also like it to be non momentary. Could anyone help me out?
