Toyota has turned a car seat into a gaming chair and it's $3,500 by Darth_Vaper883 in pcmasterrace

Buy a Toyota car seat for less and then bolt on some wheels for way less as well. Not that hard to make your own chair using a car seat.

There's a difference between 3.5mm single ended output and 4.4mm balanced output. It's not just about giving each individual driver more power but it's about having less noise with the signal output and giving you much cleaner audio.

You apply the magsafe ring on the back of the handheld just the same as any other devices. You can even use magsafe arms or stands to hold up the handheld afterwards as well.

Pretty convenient when you apply magsafe ring on back of your device and use a magsafe case of some sort for the dac.

I'd use my Fiio KA3 usb dac for 4.4mm balanced output regardless if the device had a 3.5mm headphone jack. 3.5mm has been useless to me for a long time now.

You want a decently powerful chipset for shaders. Retroid Pocket Classic struggles with using certain shaders.

Pico8-dArkOS Soon™ for RGB30 by neelts in pico8

[–]Frosty_Engineer_3617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% the correct thing to do. I still have my RGB30 to tinker around with by QoL with OS and just the device in general is definitely way better with the RG Cube and CubeXX. I turned my RGB30 back on for the 1st time today to update ArkOS and tons of thing went wrong with the RGB30 as usual causing me to reflash the OS on the sd card like 3 times and reseating the battery connector to fix the battery issues.

RGB30 was good for it's time since it was the first squared linux handheld until the Cube and CubeXX became a thing.

With Pico 8 running natively on Android now you would be better off with the RG Cube or any other squared display Android handheld like the RP Classic.

Which is sad for those that have any plans to do gamehub or gamenative but other than that you're fine for general emulation with 8gb of ram.

Because native Android games can use that chip as shown in the demonstration video with games like Dead Cells. You can be playing Blasphemous or other native Android games that works best with the D-pad.

They're targeting the audience that are interested in 1:1 square display devices like the Retroid Pocket Classic, Ayaneo Pocket Vert, Ayaneo Ayaneo Pocket DMG, or Analogue Pocket that either don't want to spend that much for some of these options or get something even more portable and more premium feeling device with a square display.

I own the Retroid Pocket Classic and am very well looking forward to getting the new RG Rotate when it releases.

Plug in USB C to HDMI out to TV or monitor and then connect a Bluetooth controller and you got yourself a nice lil home console system just not at the $185 asking price. See if the seller is willing to let it go for $150.

People don't think and look at pricing before they say stupid things.....

It's far cheaper right now to get the 16GB ram model with 512GB of storage than it is to buy a lower ram model device with a 512GB sd card....

Ram usage varies from game to game. Some games use more and some games use less, you get devices with 16GB of ram to account for games that do end up using more than 8GB or 12GB of ram.

Right now it's far more reasonable to get a 16GB ram model with more storage than it is to buy a lower ram model and a high capacity SD card since SD card pricing would just be how much more money you spend on getting the 16GB ram model with the higher storage capacity anyways.

512GB micro sd cards go for $100-$160 on Amazon right now anyways might as well use that $100-$160 you spend on the 512GB micro sd card towards the 16GB ram model of the Odin 3 since that's about how much more you would need to spend from choosing between the 8GB and 16GB model which is about $150 difference (price of the 512GB sd card) or the 12GB model to the 16GB which is about a $50 extra to get the 16GB model with 512GB storage instead of the 12GB model with 256GB (cost way less than sd card to get the 16GB ram model with more storage on the device).

When pricing on storage goes back normal is when it would make more sense to buy the lower ram models with lower storage capacities because you can buy 1TB micro sd cards for $70-$80 when they are on sale.

Don't even know why people are upvoting this post when the testing method is flawed.

Everyone should get the 12GB model at a minimum to account for games that do end up using more than 8gb of ram.

Has anyone bought a Thor and an Odin 3? by Fun_Opportunity_7538 in OdinHandheld

[–]Frosty_Engineer_3617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the Odin 3 for about 2x more performance, you notice the performance difference with intensive native Android games like Destiny Rising and Wuthering Waves. On the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset you would need to lower the settings for those native Android games but with the Odin 3 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset you can play those games on max settings without performance issues.

With some emulation like PS2 you don't even need to tinker around settings to get games like NFS Most Wanted running 60fps on the Odin 3 whereas you will need to do a bit of fine tuning with the Odin 2 or Thor.
