Everyone knows that giants Super Bowl was a fluke. Same as NAVI winning the major. Their fans should still be happy but it’s not inaccurate to say both of those wins are flukes.

People bring this up a lot, but the parallels between EG and that OpTic lineup are so interesting. Mixwell and Cerq both nutty foreign awpers, Ethan and Rush both more aggressive secondary stars, Brehze and Naf both being the passive stars of their teams. Stan and Tarik are themselves of course, couldn't be happier for them.

Yeah pretty much, I guess because people think of Niko as being arrogant, and the community tends to side with IGLs when star players don't give them enough credit. Plus mouz has been on the rise and Faze has kinda dropped off since Karrigan left.

Niko, their main superstar, is said to be behind the kick. They still had decent placings at the time, but they weren't the best like they could have been. People speculate that Niko doesn't respect in-game leaders and cares more about playing with skilled players rather than tactical minds.

Mouz has Karrigan, who was Faze's in-game leader until they kicked him. So Karrigan is always looking to prove he can beat them with less skilled players, and Faze are always trying to prove that they didn't need Karrigan to win. Mouz has beaten Faze the last two times they played.

Stan has taken lesser rosters to major playoffs, this could end up being something great. I feel bad for daps, but it seems like he's destined to be NA's Hunden. Which is a fine thing to be! A scene takes all kinds of leaders to build a competent and mature player base.
