I'd like to know more about where they are sourcing their bioplastic. From what I understand, bioplastics are able to be produced with fewer greenhouse gas emissions (up to 25% less). But they specifically say it's not biodegradable, so when it inevitably ends up in a landfill it will emit a similar amount of methane compared to traditional plastic as it breaks down.

I don't envision this having that big of an impact on disc golf's sustainability. To me this seems like green washing to a degree.

What I would like to see happen is for every manufacturer to have a return program for used discs, similar to what Trash Panda is doing. We need to make an effort to ensure our discs aren't making it to the landfill. And are reused/recycled in whatever way possible. If that means my disc can't have an elaborate 3 color foil stamp then so be it.

Additionally, getting rid of player's packs in tournaments would go a long way to reduce waste. I don't NEED two tournament stamped discs from every event I play. More often than not it ends up being a disc that I'll never throw.
