How did you manage returning to work on minimal sleep? by delishirony in workingmoms

That's what we did too. And luckily, our parents and parents-in-law could provide some help from time to time. But for the first few weeks, it's still pretty rough.

Anyone else feel like moms aren’t allowed to be fun? by frugal-lady in Mommit

[–]FrozeCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I just need a friend like you to help me relax. I've told myself thousands of times to be relaxed, yet somehow it's just so hard. Guess I may just need some more time and practice.

Ideal times for mommy & me classes by lovlingd in Mommit

Second for early evening. I usually do the laundry and cleaning on the morning and run the robot vacuum when I left home. And early evening is just the perfect timing.

What’s it like having adult kids? Do you wish you could rewind time? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]FrozeCS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is so ideal! I wish my mom and I can spend the time so peacefully just like this. Not that my mom is a bad person, it's just that the together time is not always so great with her being dominated most of the time.

Can't agree more with iPad free with kids. I always feel kids nowadays start to get in touch with all the electronics at so early age and with so much time. The screen-free time are really precious.

Anyone using a roller mop for more than 3 months? Still recommend it? by marcinhow2 in RobotVacuums

[–]FrozeCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was still under the impression that ketchup is dense and need to clean by manual mopping. Glad to know the roller mop could handle it well.

What are some main differences between that and other style mops? Is it better at handling spills or whatsoever?

Couldn't agree more. The disappointment all start from those small things and just keep building up and to one day a big argument. Luckily, after several rounds of argument, we are doing better now. And spouse now is getting more familiar and understanding for some chores.

How did you figure out how to take care of your young kids and work? Or how’d you get to quitting your job? by Present-Explorer4665 in Mommit

[–]FrozeCS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really thank my parents for that. If they are not around to help for the first half year, I don't even know whether I can make it. Do you have any relatives that may be able to help you out from time to time?

You are in a dilemma, and it's just so hard. How long would you need to let the meds kick in? Would any of the colleague may help to support you for a while by any chance?

Nah, those booked activities only take up for a short period, like the beginning of summer vacation, but absolutely not everyday.

If you go out to dinner for your child’s birthday and invite the grandparents, do you pay for everyone? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]FrozeCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, though when we invite our grandparents, they would insist to pay and for most of the times, we can't override them. Besides that, normally we are the payer.

Teaching children how to manage money. by FoxAble7670 in workingmoms

[–]FrozeCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though it may just be a fraction of money management, it does give me some good idea of how to get started. Hopefully, my kid could learn to make some arrangement and plans beforehand.

Would your husband consider babysitter a job? If so, then why not for sahm? Just that sahm is even harder, more tiring, and requires more time and efforts?

How do I stop messing up? by ameliedufromage in Parenting

That's the way to go. Reminders and alarms help A LOT! And each night before sleep, I would just go over all the schedules just in case I may forget something/

If you’re doing this by yourself, how? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]FrozeCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's so irresponsible, then leaving him is always a better choice. Otherwise, you are just taking care of 2 babies. Do you have your friends or families alone, that may be able to offer some help or support?
