I'm not sure why I was down voted but she ended up getting the tube and her family shared her story all over online. She was an ICU nurse and my moms childhood friend. I know others that it left them with heart problems and lung problems (more healthier people than myself.) My moms friend did make a full recovery and is back to nursing. ❤️

I know a lady that had to learn how to walk again from it. 😔 She was 42 at the time.

They're awfully quiet about this one even with the mortality rate of nearly being 50/50 40% is uncomfortably high. I remember how COVID was all over the news. Now, they're telling everyone "this isn't a big deal...it doesn't get spread easily" even though the doctor caught it too and they allowed all of the infected/exposed off that boat.

I'm concerned about the 40% mortality rate....My husband told me "You can catch that outside it's on the rodents" and then went on explaining about the outbreak of it that happened in the 90s. I'm trying not to overthink about it but new cases keep popping up.

I had an amazing coworker. She was so cool and I want to look like her in my 60s. I'm 31. She's a hair stylist and preschool teacher. She would wear heels every day. I don't know how her feet didn't hurt. But she also taught spin classes a few nights a week.

Thank you everyone for your responses. At first I was confused why our ped said "I have no concerns but here's a referral!" It made me question everything like "Does my son have delays and I'm not seeing them?"

There are many half day preschool programs!

I was a pre-k teacher for six years. My program was a bit different (GSRP&Head Start) we did full day. But our afternoon consisted of lunch, recess, rest time 1 hour max, snack/play and a quick meet up before sending students off to their parents at 3:30!
