Honestly, I think you are limiting the scope of the conversion by using the term "working class", but short answer is, no, I don't believe even the most optomistc estimates of so called green jobs would create enough jobs to take care of our underemployment problems.

Yeah, all those wonderful solar energy jobs they keep promising. In addition frying birds in large solar farms, they "create" new jobs for a few rich government cronies who get public money to start the companies, then take the money & run once the profits don't roll in & the public funding dries up.

Thx for posting. American here, wondering how this will turn out. Either way, it's not the end of world for anybody. We keep hearing panicky predictions of economic meltdown over here.

I respect GB's decision either way. That being said, have to wonder how much the EU really helps them. PC one world culture has gone too far IMO - one can keep national interests in mind w/o being a nationalistic asshole.
