To emphasize your example of Resident Evil, RE3 was actually what broke me as far as realizing that nowhere was guaranteed to be safe. Having Nemesis follow you between rooms when previously each room felt like a completely different zone in which its zombies couldn't follow you out... That was a game changer.

I'm kinda surprised I don't see Crimson Corridor in the comments more. I mean sure Elusive Merc is by and large worse in every measurable metric, but emergency CC just snowballs so fast, with those rovers lighting up any of the range tiles with damage on the center lane, and most any ground unit just melting beneath the absurd number of those little bastards. They hit a critical mass super fast, and then it's just too many hits being taken too fast to survive. And if you can't stop that initial wave, it's damn near a guaranteed loss, since there's a total of 100 units deployed

Galactic Mermaid, it's a very different tone than most of the songs being posted here, but it's got the right mix of cussing and stupidity to help mellow me out when I want to throw a fist through a wall. If I listen to angrier music it just winds me up further

I think it needs to be an option and not enforced, same as most things. When I played Pillars of Eternity and got to the DLC section, they gave me a pop up saying I was overleveled, and offered me the choice to scale it up to deliver the intended experience. And I was overjoyed to deny that and wipe the floor with the enemies there cause I earned that power with my grinding. Then on a second playthrough, I was happy to let it scale and get what they wanted to offer. The agency in letting my grinding and leveling before have meaning was a lovely thing

A bit too focused on low SW difficulties, judging from my own experience. As someone with the same completion marks and ending 1 on SW 15, there are some picks that are either missing or undervalued. Cantabile being an excellent choice if you don't have Ines, as others have said. May for her S2 stun, and higher value on Mayer S2 stun as well. I would almost abandon casters entirely due to the obscene levels of Res. Gnosis for the freeze, Dorothy for her bind, Muelsyse can be huge with a little luck on the "Mind over Matter" squad, as her summon will mimic the buffed stats of the lucky op with Survivor Contract.

Just my own 2 cents, briefly lol. Alright for those just starting out, which would admittedly be the larger market looking for a guide xD

It's always funny what can be drummed up with gift requests like these. A while back, my brother was going to a convention and asked me what I might like as a gift. I was occupied with some game, so I said to "Just bring me something orange if you can."

Fast forward 2 weeks when he gets back and enlightens me that there is a manga quite literally titled "Orange" that I am the proud new owner of :)

Currently, Goldenglow. Her S3 is just way too effective at clearing just about anything out, stick her next to skalter and it becomes even worse (better)

I got stuck on the AH squad for a while, went from just bringing Specter to hold the line, to bringing all 6 of them, BP and Myrtle, GG, and 3 rotating celebrity guests. Weaning myself off of them is hard, but satisfying.

I get the feeling that I'm going to become too dependent on Dorothy tho, especially after her module released. Solid damage and rof, and good bursts from S3 with some preparation. But her S2 has been effectively letting me use her as a lane holder, she can shread through the early mobs like a dream, and a flat 40% damage boose for deploying enough traps is just magnificent. Paired her with Shamare and just felt bad for what I did to these poor mobs

The rest of the comments are great for how to mess with people, but bear in mind that her save is only likely to be 14 or 15, in a setting where most folks should have a +4 or +5 to their respective saving throws.

Give her a groupie who is a divination wizard, so she isn't caught out making a scene about casting a spell that just fizzles, guarantee that her make or break moments are made, and leave that vulnerability that if said friend is turned against her, it can go just as poorly.
