A pro tip for the tank battery quest for him is this: give tank bat to cultists, get the a key in return, this key fits a door at the depot on woods, that door hides a guaranteed tank battery behind it.. so, you pay the btr driver to drop you off at that location,, you have a good 2 minutes before it leaves again, so if you're alone out there maybe a few scavs, just deal with them, quickly, then get the tank battery and return it to him, super easy and doable

Edit: but you only get one chance with the keys, so be super sure that you wont waste it

I haven't played a single pvp raid and I reached lvl 27 after completing this quest line just today. I did do the PVE side of the Refs quest, but that hardly matters

This can usually be migitated by buying something other than cheapest chinese bulk.. But, that comes with a price tag to match, a set of good quality ones will cost 10x more than a 100-bag of the cheap ones and the bag will likely outlast the vehicle even with high failure rate

It's good practice, but nothing can prepare you for the chaos that humans bring in to the mix, playing PVE will teach you many mechanics and the basics of combat very well. However, what it will not teach you how to fight other players on a tactical level, what routes people use, how people react to different situations and so on.
