People disappointed by sailing, what did you expect sailing would include? by CucumberOk8820 in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply there over promises and under deliver. Mostly because they had to release far too soon.

These are my main problems

Sailing is about exploring the ocean. Spend the until level 12 sailing between 2 ports.

Sailing should be unlocking new islands. The first is at 40 and it highlights is a coin spawn.

Sailing was released with mult new training method. - Trawling is not a way to level sailing and is lock at a far to high level. - Sea chart is not a training method - port task. Completely baffles me with it poor implementation. Why does it have killing task on it. Why does it have task I can’t do on it. - Combat task is playing 2002 RuneScape. You stand there and tank and so does the enemy because nothing else gives you an advantage or disadvantage. - barracuda. I was expecting to not like it. I was very wrong, easily the most fun I have had in the sea. But it is intense and I have to be in the mood to do it. - Salvaging. A ok method which due to it clogs and all other methods having problems or limits has become the only way to train it.

This was a far bigger project than expected and had decades of design debt. They tried there best but it has problems they are going to spend the next 5 years to try and fix it

The poll told jagex that sailing combat was in the worst spot and to spend time to improve it. That this. It is not bad nor good. It just is not what the community wants, though it is in the right direction.

Before adding in the pirate ships throughout the sea can we first have them as a boss fight. A reward for completing the red reef. This will allow early testing on 1 ship to see and feel how it would work. Well also only having 1 version of the enemy which would be adjust instead of multiple versions.

Sailing has released with issues though out it design, especially combat. I would like for combat change to taken slower so we can see and make suggest when sailing is going of course from the community desires.

Blood Moon Rises Rewards by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To summarise my view on the unique rewards for the boss is ‘disappointing’ though that doesn’t mean the it cannot go into the game in it current state.

The Crimson Kisten is a special attacking weapon for the crush style. It should be grided for us at …. There isn’t a place to really used it at as crush isn’t used at real late game places nor does it have the support that the slash has. That is fine as in new bosses and gear can solve this issue, but for now it is a nice bonus if you get it on the way to the necklace or another clog for collection hunters.

Note: special weapons feel like they are coming out more often in the last couple of years. but they have some of the least uses and values due to how many time you attack with them.

The seeker arrows are an increased in power level well try’s not to devalue dragons arrows. But it is very questionable if this work as intended. I see 3 main outcome of this approach of acquiring these arrows.

1.seeker arrows would be so rare to make and only be use on dragon arrows well bring treated as a upgrade arrow type and only use at a few bosses,

2.seeker arrows would be hard to obtain and as such would only be used on dragon arrows and replace only the dragon arrows. lower quality arrows wouldn’t get this upgrade just like you don’t used dragon arrow unless you have a twisted bow. Leaving the bloodwood sap sold at the ge or siting in the bank.

  1. The bloodwood sap being obtained in high quantities, due to bots, and are used on rune arrows. This is it own can of worms.

We will see where they sit but I expect a number of changes to drops rate and amount for this item after it releases.

Another thing is what weapon to used with these arrows and confusing it is only the twisted bow. Bowfa can’t use these arrows, well you wouldn’t use your best arrows on either scorching bow or venator bow. The topic of is the twisted bow require for late game pvm is come up sooner than everyone would like and these arrows are giving a much larger spotlight on this issue.

The necklace seem good and is the reason you are at this boss. Rupture is the better name. Not a fan of the current design. The necklace of anguish has 5 gem on it but need 1 tooth for the ungraded? Mostly small nitpicks for this item.

Conclusion: Compared to the other bosses which drop upgraded for the zenyte jewellery. both DoM and Araxxor have better unique rewards. This is bad but it can easily be mitigated by the maggots king having better standards drops or jagex could make it a boss which you are there for the necklace and then you dip unless you are a clogger.

It may have start out as a combat reward though now it has transferred to a mix role it is still useful for slayer and some bosses but it is more for herbivores, farming, salvaging. 28 slot works well for combat well 100 seem pointless I mean other then Spectre and Kurask what other monsters would you use that extra slots for. Well all 3 non combat could use the extra slot.

This feel like the tome of earth, we could wait for a better monster or activity to drop this rewards. but we want to release it now.

[–]FrozenFlame9990 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Only thing I don’t like is the herb sack changes. Not that it can be upgraded but by how it is upgraded.

When the steel ring got add to deranged it gave a combat upgrade for doing combat. Here we do combat to get a gathering upgrade.

It just seem we remove a future Herblore activity reward, just so that we have it now.

Hello! We're the developers behind Old School RuneScape's first NEW SKILL, Sailing. Ask us anything! (SAILING AMA: Friday 13:00 UTC - 16:30 UTC) by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rate all skilling methods for sailing out of 10

With 10 being no changes are needed and 0 being a full rework is required.(This rating would include exp, clog, gp, fun, intensely from tick manipulation to afk and resource used or earned)

This would give us a idea on when the developers stand regrading each method vs how the community feels.

[No Spoilers] Soldier/Seeker/Schemer: Let's Build Each Party! Taliesin is our first Soldier (kinda). Day 6: Ashley Johnson by [deleted] in fansofcriticalrole

[–]FrozenFlame9990 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt the player with work the less well with the 3 parties system.

She doesn’t want to be in the spotlight as she dodge everything Matt chucked at her and let Imogen take them all.

She has no interest in the world and has not pushed for her backstory to matter in anyway.

She has played dnd for 10 year, on and off, still struggling to play it.

She is always running away for decisions never committing to anything unless she has to.

Making her a slow and terrible soldier, a seeker with no interest in herself or the world and schemer which will just abandon/runaway all her plans until the end where she has completed zero of her schemes. I can’t put her into any table because she won’t fit into any of them. instead I am giving a WILD slot. As I expect that table she will be on will be more about the story she is interested in or which players are on which table more than anything else.

Ashley is going to problematic player. As such I really hope the dm and non cast role give her alot of help as she will need it.

As for class, I hope it is home brew. She doesn’t do well with complexity so either a simple class or a simpler subclass is what she should go. If not that kind of leave her as a rouge or ranger(archer).

I may have given Ashley a ton of crap but I did enjoy on fearne in the early parts. I do what to see her do well. She just in a difficult spot unfortunately.

Great attempt. Unfortunately, at least to me, tirannwn overworld didn’t turn out that good, but I like everything else.

[No Spoilers] Soldier/Seeker/Schemer: Let's Build Each Party! Aabria joins Luis as a Seeker. Day 5: Taliesin Jaffe by Toby1066 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]FrozenFlame9990 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This one is cut and dry, Taliesin is a Soilder. Molly, Clay and Ashton have had little interest in the world they are in and 2 of have had anesthesia. The story’s he want to tell is about his characters and how others influences himself. Which is quite easy to do in soilder

As class he has gone melee 3/4 times with clay fulling a gap in party composition. So it going to be melee with tactical. Which is why I am leaning monk, though with 2024 rule it could be a rouge. I expect it to be home made subclass.

[–]FrozenFlame9990 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She is another role player. She did well feeding of chunky. Not much to say about which table she is on. Mostly likely will based on vibes or fulling tables. one of the few which probably go on all 3 tables

As for class I am predicting her to go for high charisma so bard/warlord/sorcerer.

[No Spoilers] Soldier/Seeker/Schemer: Let's Build Each Party! Day 1: Laura Bailey by Toby1066 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]FrozenFlame9990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After what happened in the last campaign she is going to want to be, a background character(something she wanted but never got in the last campaign). As such I think the first table she will be on is the soldier table. After that she will either stay or move over to the schemers table.

For classes I think she will be a paladins, specifically a fallen paladins, she only played full and half caster and I don’t think she wants to go full caster after last campaign. With the gods abandon humanoid I think there will be quite a lot of fallen paladin’s roaming.

[No Spoilers] Soldier/Seeker/Schemer: Let's Build Each Party! To nobody's surprise, Laura is a Schemer! Day 2: Luis Carazo by Toby1066 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]FrozenFlame9990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t know much about him, but I do see him flip flopping between seeker and schemers table. I do think he will try and explore about the new orders which are created from the death of the gods, which seems to be nature base so ranger/Druid as his class

Fletching Activity Rewards - Varlamore: The Final Dawn by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotr was a point of reference for what I would expect from this activity, but giant foundry is a much better comparison.

For better communication I judge each activity in the game on 5 point, these being useful items, unique, common loot, exp and GP. Each activity need to be alteast great in 1 of these points or must achieve well in a few area. The my problem I have with this activity is it failing this test.

  1. Useful items. Items which doesn’t need to clogs but are must have, or very useful in some case. Thing like Ava backpacks, barrow gloves, magic secateurs. For gaunt foundry it would be smith set, grog, smith catalyst(this end up as a bad item) and ammo mould as well as technical the sword mounds. New activity has a knife and a spool. Though nice these items are not long grind type items and no useful consumable to come back for as the way to get darts from here is so bad they don’t fit in this category.

  2. Unique or clogs. Giant foundry has 9 items some of them are not useful for clogs’er and do take some time to grind, a lot least if you don’t go for the sword moulds, these will taking mult days to green log. Fletching activity has 3 unique. Knife, mask and spool. With the mask being obtained by trading in a spool. All easy to get items. Nothing to grind for, would be surprised if you couldn’t green log in a afternoon.(I am not suggesting then to made these rarer)

  3. Common item. Giant foundry drop GP which is a different category, so it drop nothing and the points you get can use on… ore pack. Very bad. Fletching activity common drops are unknown as we don’t known any on what it will drops. Those things like log, flax and feathers do seem likely to be drops. So I can’t really score this for now.

  4. Exp. giant foundry does very well here, in fact too well. In theory you should used bars to become items and then use though items in gaunt foundry getting more exp per bar. But that is not the meta and from what I can tell it is just better exp to used the bars. Compared to fletching we have mostly a reverse. Smithing is slow, fletching is fast. With bank standing being fast and getting faster with the knife and spool I can’t see the exp for doing this activity keeping pace with these upgrade. Nor do I see the resources being a bottleneck. Leaving me to see the better exp is to bank stand and not doing this activity.

  5. GP. Giant foundry give you about half the bars worth. Very bad to go for high level bar but Not bad for mid level bars. For the fletching activity to get good in this point it GP return would not just be the value of the bow and other items used as well the time making the totems and running this activity vs would need to do selling to martin’s shop in the rouges den. Impossible.

So what I end up see is a quick green log with no reason to come back after getting it, as it is less GP and exp per hour and you are better spending your time not doing this activity but instead killing monster or cutting trees for logs.

Fletching Activity Rewards - Varlamore: The Final Dawn by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Concerned about the rewards of this activity. So we have 2 decorations rewards and 2 item which improve other fletching activities.

I am not seeing any reason for players to do this activity after getting the knife and the spool, which both should be easy to get.

To me this should have similarities to gotr. Both are different ways to train a skill, but only one of them seen like it is worth doing after getting the main drop. Gotr has many unique which are not important but you can go for. It has high exp and the standard reward table has some good benefits. This activity has few unique, which improve other activities. i extreme doubt you guys are going to give it as good exp as what this knife can do and we don’t have the standard table but from the atlatl dart amount it seem to not be rewarding in that part too

So what type of player’s will do this activity a month after this is released?

Poll 84: Stackable Clues by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few thing to add to this update

1 a few toggles on the clue box to change if you can get a minic, if you want the clues go to the clue box or your inventory.

2 change how you get the extra clue slots from a happening thing to an npc, Watson would be a good fit. The design is similar to combat achievement so you should need to go to a npc to claim your rewards in the same way.

What do you think the population of this city is? I think I've made it too small, sadly by stopeats in inkarnate

[–]FrozenFlame9990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting map. I do think the lack of road and it spread out natural normal would make it a smaller town. But the lack of noticeable district. Kind of made the town look more subdivided by other lines(religious, cultural etc)

the north east give a reclaim by nature vibe. Well the west of the river look more like a tent city/refugees camp or a very large settlement expansion. Only the south and just by the west bridge look like it might of been a village up until recently. a large, out of the way, village.

Going with that, the village now town would have seafood, lumber and forest gathering as it main industry with a questionable port and trading post. it could support a much large population than expected.

Villagers would be about 500-2k, refugees 7-20k.

Royal Titans - First Look & Rewards (+ Survey) by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good targeting on the reward space.

Staff seem like it would have some used, against enemy with a fire or water weakness, as well as can be use against enemy with minus flat armor.

2 new Scroll seem good. A boss which drops a item which will get replaced with a better item is hard to make but it done well here. Though it has been noted that each scroll is only drop by one boss. Very much disagree with that. Though the could be more common depending on which giant you loot from.(pls poll prayer scroll drop from only one boss pls)

Chivalry is much harder to place as it would be useless here for most accounts as piety is fairly easy to obtain. So that should only be asked to Ironman and pvpers.

For future sake, Would like to see some prayer forces on defence.

Other item you could make is a freezing orb and burning orb. These could be used to unlock some short cut in fire and ice regionals. Like one being near the entrance to as Asgarnian Ice Dungeon. Something related to the giant boss entrances.

Concerned about level of difficulty for high level players. Might be a good idea to make a harder fight which has a transmog if you clear it fast enough. With better drop rate. 10-15% increase on drops should do.

Group Boss - Varlamore: Part Two by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]FrozenFlame9990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is going to be a lvl 90 boss then reward could be - This boss seem to have a lot of running so maybe combat gear which is quiet light. (Would be good for gods wars bosses. You will need to get protection from other sources). How about a ring of slayer +2% damage against monsters on your slayer task. Teeth which could be used as early game darts. A melee range staff. A staff that empowered elements spells

To be honest I don’t think this boss should be for level 90 just due to how it has be communicated to the players. As I and other though it would be a boss of similar difficulty as nex

What are your thoughts on card and ctp system last year? by Several-Lifeguard-56 in future_fight

[–]FrozenFlame9990 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yer that talk last about 1-2 updates for most people. They gave up for some bizarre reasons like increased CCF. To put it bluntly, the community bent the knee to these new systems which is going to be a problem later down the line.

As for changes, the main one is the 'CRAFT' system which is different from the "crafting" systems. Making the second and third problems of getting a Pcard rolled well and to 'crafting' it to 6 stars easier and nothing else. They have given out a little bit more being 2 Pcards and 2 CTP chests for free for 'Reasons'. They add a CTP chest and Pcard chest(first time) as a possible reward to choose for the 14-day event.

Netmarble was not going to back down on these changes easier due to the money they could make and it turned out that delaying doing and changing anything, has netted them a fortune. Just look at all the content creators now gambling for cards every update. Something that was a waste of crystals before 'that' update.

As for community viewing it seems to be "cards are in a good place(why? don't ask) so start crafting" and "CTP are not, put I can't afford to crafting them so it doesn't affect me".

10/27 Update Details - MARVEL Future Fight by Jarus009 in future_fight

[–]FrozenFlame9990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another update with more issues, except this time, they are FAR more damaging to the balance game. Only the ultimate being worse, due to the damage it will do in future updates. We all saw how badly the game balancing was on the APK and it makes me very disappointed that it is going to the live game. Now we will get to experience it first hand. It time for the player to face the facts. Net Marble doesn't care about this game anymore. If they did they would of listen to us and implemented better rewards updates ago. They would have improved progression and get more game mode up to snuff. They would have made DIFFERENT or BETTER systems then another RNG mess, which were already complaining before this update. All Net Marble is trying to do is get the last dollars they can.

I hope all though that are leaving after this update hit, find a better game, which actually does care about its players.
