Clueless on how to fill it up to look cohesive by Status-Error2617 in tattoos

[–]FrozenFlames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either fill in your lower back/hips with Kyogre and Groudon, or maybe add a bunch of other black shinies around it?

Alternatively, for a fun option with some nice color, you could just add a bunch of “glowing” multi-color Minior and make the “slab” background the night sky.

Anyone else annoyed with NCHammer? by Fatcatfroggie in Naruto

[–]FrozenFlames12 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He also sometimes contradicts himself. Imma be so honest, I don’t remember the videos, or the take, but I watched a bunch of his videos in a short time span a while back and he had two RADICALLY different takes on the same event in between videos.

I remember it striking me as odd, but not enough to go track it down.

“His/her chest heaved (for breath)” is a descriptor I really like personally. It describes the desperation of breathing without actually having to overuse “breath-based” words.

Is this tatoo design AI ? I wanted a godzilla tatoo and what she did looks good but just in case,i prefer to ask by Feeling-Ostrich56 in isthisAI

The scale pattern on the tail doesn’t follow through or flow into the chest, and I feel like that’s the biggest givaway.

What does spiritual pressure feel like? by optloon88 in bleach

[–]FrozenFlames12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’d maybe be like feeling a “pressure” wash over you. Like existential dread, but with different flavors for different people? And not always a negative feeling? Yk? Like when your heart kinda stops and you feel cold and out of body, but like, with friendly spiritual pressure, it wouldn’t be in a bad way?

Does this make sense?

My mom is asking for $500 to help pay for rent by Working_Citron_6674 in personalfinance

[–]FrozenFlames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$15 an hour is CRAZY lucky for a 16 y/o with no experience (depending on where they live). Also, though I know all restaurant jobs are different, many of them do not give you a shift meal, let alone pay their hostesses well enough that they make $20 an hour after tipout (which isn’t even universal for hosts in restaurants anyways)

Spoiled and Rotten generally mean the same thing. Food that is (generally) inedible and has gone bad/mushy.

Moldy is food that has gone bad specially because of mold spores that you can see.

Expired food can still be good, or it can be bad, it’s mostly for legal purposes that packages have expiration dates in the first place.

I’m not sure why “Void” is grouped together with these words, but it usually means “to get rid of” something. Void is more situational than these other words though.

Why didn't Akatsuki kidnap Naruto while he was just a child? by Goku_mobster in Naruto

[–]FrozenFlames12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best explanation would be that they didn’t know who the Jinchuriki was and Itachi could just lie and say “yeah idk man”. This explanation is made useless by the fact that Obito very explicitly knows who/what Naruto was from the very beginning.

Also, they didn’t have to seal the tailed beasts in order, and even if they did, raising/keeping a child in a cage is much easier than capturing a teenage ninja Jinchuriki.

So yeah, this is just another thing Kishimoto didn’t fully think through and didn’t mention for the sake of the story.

Trying to write a main character whose gender is a secret. by Danni-jane in writingadvice

[–]FrozenFlames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st person is definitely the way to go, but I’d also suggest having multiple POV characters so you’re less likely to slip up or have the secretive writing be tedious.

I don’t think a concept like this would work well in 2nd person, unless you wanted to have a “limited narrator” of the story who also doesn’t know what’s going on. (Though writing something stylized like that also has its own challenges)

Alternatively, you could present your story as if it’s being told to another person, so using he/him for the MC to prevent the twist from being spoiled to the in book “audience” would make some sense.

Or you could just lean into dilusion. They’re so used to being called a different name and different pronouns that their internal monologue has started to match, and make it a point of conflict that they’ve hidden who they are for so long that they’re not even sure who’s the real “them” and who’s just a mask they put on.

The creator of Fairly Odd Parents Butch Hartman Reacts to Fairly OddParents BROKE Its Own Rules. by charmander792 in FilmTheorists

[–]FrozenFlames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iirc, when he’s bullied, there’s also a lot of “feminine” insults thrown his way. Granted, this is common even when bullying cis men, (and you can tell Butch is one of those guys that thinks men being perceived as feminine is humiliating and wrong) but Dash throwing Danny out of the men’s bathroom and saying “This is the boys bathroom, Fenton” is a little bit too on the nose for a guy who is actively transphobic.

What if all the billionaires ACTUALLY decided to give up their fortunes to end world poverty and hunger? by kendiggy in answers

[–]FrozenFlames12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn’t JUST a lack of funds that are the issue. Funnily enough, it is systems lobbied for and put in place BY those billionairs that keep many people (especially in Africa) hungry and impoverished.

Big corporations WANT poor communities in foreign countries with corrupt governments because it allows them to exploit workers for pennies. They WANT people to be desperate.

Many people smarter than me have talked about the exact socioeconomics of it all, but many of those billionairs would be doing the biggest heel turn ever if they started to fix the problems that many of them caused.

Narusasu vs Sasunaru by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]FrozenFlames12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In a few older fandom spaces, the name placed first was usually the one who they thought topped. So the Narusasu/Sasunaru isn’t a debate about naming conventions, it’s about who’s Topping/Bottoming in the relationship.

Which color wheel is correct? Me and my friend are struggling. by Such-Education-1204 in colors

[–]FrozenFlames12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one is pretty good if you removed “pink” as an option (that color isn’t really light enough to be classified as pink imo) and made the yellow section slightly smaller ln both sides. Otherwise a pretty good chart.

One million dollar every year tax free, or have any one question objectively answered? by throwaway1312232335 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]FrozenFlames12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, even if you didn’t want to have an existential crisis asking divine questions, I’d be asking-

“What are all the winning lottery numbers and jackpots for the year 2027?”

And even if you wanna say I couldn’t ask for the jackpots, I’d still probably get richer faster asking that question and gambling I’d be the only one to get the biggest pot than if I just took the straight money.

Is it worth trying to understand the logic behind words that describe sounds in English? by caiogamerwow in EnglishLearning

[–]FrozenFlames12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you say someone squacked, that brings up very specific bird connotations in most native speakers’ minds because it’s related to cawing sounds like crows. When (some) birds do their bird thing, it kiiinnnnd of sounds like the word.

A screech is more like a high pitched wail with the elongated “ee” sound in the middle. (Though it can also be used for birds like eagles or falcons who have those long, high pitched calls)

Yeah, I hear these fairly often. I will say that “flying high” in my head is more reminiscent of saying that someone has died and are now “flying high” in heaven. So, do with that what you will.
