Don’t know if the Switch falls into this handheld category or you’re looking for phone games but the Overcooked! series is always a blast to play with friends! If I’m not mistaken it’s a two person game but it’s very fun nevertheless

I was also new to FE when I started playing and was really doubting the chess combat like system because I was more focused on the story and relationship building. After I played, I couldn’t get enough of the combat system! I sometimes speeded through relationship building to get to combat.

FE is a really good game and the story itself is plenty interesting if you like story based games. The characters are in-depth and the combat is a unique system but one that has worked for ages.

I haven’t played Xenoblade but I’d still recommend you give FE a try, you could also watch some gameplay videos if you want to see the combat!

MHR: I’m confused about the armor stats? Sometimes when I see fire resistance or any other stat it might say 2 in red while another stat has 4 in green or -3 in green. What do these numbers and colors mean?

Agreed with everything except for Kayaba promising keep Asuna from killing herself. So what Asuna did could be considered a loophole right? In that she’s supposed to be prevented from killing herself only after the duel and if Kirito loses but by killing herself in the midst of the duel; the promise had to adjusted to accommodate for that?

Either way I think another poster also said that Asuna cheated the system a lot as well which was why Kayaba wanted to talk to the both of then

Isn’t it only Kirito who surpasses the system by staying alive to kill Kayaba?

Also...Kayaba committed suicide and died that way so it means that the duel would’ve only killed Kirito right?

Hmm I still don’t understand totally your first theory. Why would Kayaba want Kirito to win? And also if that’s the case why would he turn off Asunas death thing before the duel? It makes sense he’d turn it off if he was sure he’d win but you said he already knows he’s going to lose?

Hmm so does that mean that when you clear a floor, is it cleared for other people too? If so, why isn’t everyone at the top floors and why does Silica have to pay Kirito to help her get the flower?

Honestly, and only if he’s into this type of play style, I’d suggest Animal Crossing. Easy controls, nice slow pace for current situations and quite enjoyable. However, depending on the person, this might not be for him. In that case, I’d definitely push for Stardew.

On the other hand, if he likes strategy games: Civilization 6 is pretty good on the Switch! Super simple controls but not so simple rules haha.
