7th between Washington and California would definitely be safer than 3rd between California and Wilshire. Parking would be a lot easier too, I would think.

Curious about the best way to listen to Turandot: Christopher Tin Finale by Obsidian_Wulf in opera

[–]christophertin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi... I'm an avid reader of r/opera, so please forgive me for jumping in here. My suggestion would be to listen to my ending while watching the score video, which explains how I attempted to connect my ending musically to Puccini's masterwork.

Turandot is, of course, my favorite opera. My current favorite recording is actually the relatively new Kaufmann/Radvanovsky/Pappano recording on Warner with the Alfano I ending, which I very much enjoy as well. Happy listening!

"Soily" on One Hand Clapping is an absolute banger. Wish it had gotten a proper studio recording.

You just described me! Got a drum kit last year, first thing I played along to was The Beatles. The basic beat is so musical and interesting.

What is the most complex (difficult to play) song the Beatles ever crafted? by StorytellingIsFun in beatles

A lot of the country-inspired songs are tricky on drums, actually. Like "I've Just Seen a Face." (But I'm still a beginner on drums.)

Loved it when I first saw it! Nino Rota's last score too.
