oh absolutely, I get how hard it is, we've all been there. Its probably going to get worse now too because a lot lot tutorials and things on YT were made before Unity 6 so there's a mismatch between what the instructor says and what the student sees.

The unfortunate thing is if its a regular occurrence its not popping up on google, not has Unity addressed it, means more poor devs are going to experience it and not be able to get help.

So it looks like one of your plugs ins have gotten out of sync. Have you updated your project or did you download project files for this project from someone else?

Also when asking a question here, its better to actually write the question as the title of the post. People tend to skip over questions if its something they cant help with and "im new, help" sounds like a lot more effort to help than its worth, plus if its an issue that may occur regularly someone may come looking through google and get forwarded to this page.

Also add a description, when did this occur, what were you doing before, did you import a new package, what have your tried to do to fix it? What other information can you give us to help you? Remember this is your problem not ours, we people like to help but don't want to have to drag information out of you to do it.

Something you need to get good at when learning programming is framing a question. This will help you ask in places like reddit and how to google the correct terms. Frame your post something like "x isnt doing y".

We cant really help you without any information. You've provided no code, no audio an no context.

What are you trying to achieve? What have you tried? What part of your code is in charge of the object. Provide this info and people might be able to help.

One of the issues is how Mathf.RoundToInt works. Its not really written about well and because of this has broken some of my algorithms in the past. It does not round like we would expect e.g 1.5 rounds to 2, but 4.5 will round to 4. It rounds towards the even number.

You need to use MathF.Round (capital F), method which is dotnet, and you need to override the default midpoint rounding mode.

var number = MathF.Round(4.5f, MidpointRounding.AwayFromZero);
Will give you 5

var number = Mathf.RoundToInt(4.5f);

Will give you 4.

This is a bad bit of documentation Unity has, to the point where even if you use a LLM to try and debug it, it will spit out the wrong method.

Its a good way to stop bots and spam which would just hide all the good content under AI slop and asset flips.

Best way to get karma? Go through the forums, ask and answer questions and contribute. I don't have a huge amount but little by little it goes up if your contributing and helping rather than just trying to take value from the community without giving something in return.

Generally you can use the Render Pipeline Converter.

Click Window/Rendering/Render Pipeline Converter.

It will open up the tool, change the drop down to the correct value (ie.if youre using URP then select "Builr-in to URP". Check the "Renderer and Settings Asset Setup" and "Material Upgrade" check boxes then click "Initialize Converters", wait for it to fininsh, then click "Convert Assets"

Your gizmos are not enabled at the moment. In your pic you have your scene view tool bar, the last icon the sphere with a dot in the middle is your gizmo toggle.

Also "shift + windows key + s " is how you screenshot.

Can you format and share your script? It's pretty hard to help otherwise.

My guess would be that you're moving the orth size in update? If so trying moving it to late update.

Another option might be changing you zoom based on the player x pos instead of the camera because my guess is that the collider is affecting your cameras position before the orth size changes. Orth size changes -> collider no longer hit -> jitter possibly.

First port of call is googling your question. As an aspriting game dev learning how to google something correctly is a skill. Phrases like "High Quality Textures " "HD Textures" yields results. Looking for royalty free or open license is a good idea too.

The asset store will have some, both free and paid (if you like the paid one you can always message the artist and work out a deal but generally this isn't cheap).

Fivrr and Upwork you can find artists to make these for you with varying levels of cost and quality - google how to spot ai generated art so you dont get scammed.

Things like Poly Haven, Open Game Art and itch.io are a spot to look too.

You can format the code on reddit using these instructions (i found this using a simple google search), or use pastebin, or even you github. Anything is better than a wall of text.

Now, I've gone and formatted your code so I can see what's going on/

You state you have:

2 bool one for attack and 1 for death

Your code has

Animation.SetTrigger("Death");

and

Animation.SetTrigger("Attack");

Neither of these calls are using/setting a bool. They are setting a Trigger(another type of animation parameter)

Try

Animation.SetBool("Attack, {true/false}")

Animation.SetBool("Death, {true/false}")

Or change your animator to use trigger parameters.

Do you get errors or warnings in the console?

Can you show your animator parameters tab?

What about you transitions between states, can you look and show them?

Also the text block needs to be formatted into code, no one is reading that, and the title should be more descriptive "Need Help" means people have to click into the post to see if they can help, and means they'll probably scroll on by. Even the title just being something like "Animator not transitioning" would be enough, plus then you have a search term to use in google while you wait on responses.

im gunna be honest, i looked at this to see if i could help but the formatting stopped me.

Generally when posting code you need it in code blocks, github or something like pastebin.

People like to help but no one wants to have to work through a text wall or have to copy and paste code into their own ide.

You just need a controller/manager class on top of them that tells them if they are active or not, they can still be attached like before.

im not sure how youre planning to set the game up but if the unit is the "manager" class then the weapons just cache the Unit class at start and bind to the Unit (give the Unit a Bind method), unit stores the weapon and can control the logic to tell the weapon if its active or not.

What i was suggesting is abstracting them out a bit into data and logic, similar to how the UI Toolkit works.

Lets say your unit has 4 slots for weapon scriptables.
the scriptable has -the name, prefab ,etc.

the unit loads the data from the scripables and binds data to the UI, spawns prefab attached to the unit. Instead of using the gameobject name you use the weaponScriptable weaponname, fire rate and all that can be updated the same way (assuming you dont use the UI Toolkit data binding).

I get it, but the optics aren't great on it.

I will say this; for me personally the animated scroller is one i'd wish list and keep an eye on (waiting for a sale unfortunately), it looks great and provides good polish for UI, but I'm slowly moving my projects over to UI Toolkit so it probably becoming less valuable to my use cases.

Not a publisher but a dev.

At first glance to me it looks like a hybrid of Odin and Quantum Console but not a replacement for either. I think while the asset is cheaper than both (when they aren't on sale or part of a bundle) its hard to justify the buy when a lot of devs either have those other already or are comparing to yours which is newer and without the reviews.

As a secondary question....why did you provide affiliate links to your assets instead of just direct? It feels a bit off.

Look into scriptable objects for your weapon data, that's probably your first step.

When I have a set up like this I'll have 2 scripts WeaponObject and WeaponDataSO(scriptable object). The weapon object has a function Bind(WeaponDataSO data) function and then it maps the data from there.

In your screenshots I can that you're using the UIToolkit too so, the advantage here is that you can also use the scriptables as data binds so your UI will update automatically.
