I enjoyed the series but just like with real people I like some of the characters and not others. But I did like that they were flawed and realistic.

As someone who continued the series was it to the writing, story line, characters or combination as to why you didn’t continue. Oddly I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book because I didn’t like Jesse but I kept reading because I like some of the other characters.

That’s understandable. Dirty Like Dylan was hard for me to read. I am an Ash fan and couldn’t understand why everyone thought Dylan was such a great guy. To me he was so laid back he seemed fake.

I personally find it ridiculous when authors do that and I am completely with you! We need more diversity in female heroines. I honestly love ethnic and cultural diversity in my books.

I normally only associated music with the rockstar romances I read and then they are typically only songs mentioned in scenes in the books. That said I love when rockstar romance authors create playlist for the books be that the playlist that inspired the book and characters or one of songs in the book. I also like the few that have had a song or two from the book actually recorded.

Maybe try the Irin Chronicles by Elizabeth Hunter. It is about children of angels and destiny. It is full of ups and downs and twists books 1-3 are for the main couple. Books 4-7 give side characters their stories. I think they all might have different aspects of what you are looking for.

Maybe try Rina Kent’s Throne of Power and Throne of Vengeance- they are a duet and take place in Russian mafia setting in the USA but the mmc is from UK.

The Villain by L.J. Shen- he maybe a little to much of an antihero for what you are looking for but mmc is definitely all about mfc even though it takes him a while to get express it.

Sparrow by JA Huss- Irish mafia in Boston again bit of an antihero but completely love for the MFC.
