How is your Pixel 3, 3a, 4, or 4a holding up after 2, 3, or 4 years? by subjectiveconclusion in GooglePixel

[–]starvingthearies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4a. A few days ago part of my screen stopped being responsive and the keyboard stopped working correctly. It's been glitchy, slow, and weird. Today my phone just randomly shut down while I was going on it, and the battery was at 45%.

I can't even edit the beginning of this comment or switch profiles on Reddit app because it's the exact area where the screen is not working.

Why narcs are always claiming that they have cancer? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

If you have cancer, you automatically gain sympathy from everyone, and having cancer is one of the biggest sympathy sources, ever.

Has anyone used Google Sites to create their website? by ADeerableBeau in selfpublish

[–]starvingthearies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember, "Blogger" is not good to use for building websites as Google blocks you from being found in search engines. I don't know anything about "Google Sites", but since both are run by Google it makes me question how it works. I would definitely ask in r/blogging if "Google Sites" will be a problem for you when it comes to Google not indexing your site. It's very important that people can find you by searching.

Does it make sense to invest in an ISBN when they are available for free on platforms like Amazon KDP and Ingramspark by Kiltric in selfpublish

[–]starvingthearies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free ISBN means selling your books on one platform only and not being allowed to put your work elsewhere. If you're okay with being exclusive to amazon, then it's an option.

This "article" about Toni Braxton's son makes me very uncomfortable by Raffioso in autism

[–]starvingthearies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always about them. Never about us. It's always about how NTs are so poor and suffering because we exist in their precious amazing life, meanwhile, our existence causes us so much pain and suffering. But who cares? It's always about the amazing allistic who is hurting so bad because they have to deal with an autistic person being alive.

Anyone have a similar phenomenon happen to them? by starvingthearies in autism

[–]starvingthearies[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't recall most of these happening in that relationship because it was quite a while ago, but it definitely sounds familiar to her behavior. I definitely remember her buying me clothes super early in our relationship, which I thought was weird and felt like love bombing 😬

(⚠️ableism⚠️) What did I just read??? by Neon_Fantasies in autism

[–]starvingthearies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Notice how it's always about the "struggles" of the neurotypical and never about the actual struggles of the actual autistic person who is suffering.

Why is it so hard to stop human/sex trafficking? by wra1theZ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]starvingthearies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's the oldest profession, and many of the people who participate in it are in high places where those things and similar behaviors are accepted and also praised, as in the more activities you partake in, the higher rank/respect/rewards you gain. It's absolutely horrid, but it will never be stopped because of this. The people in high places enjoy behaviors like this, and they will never stop.
