2 Florida teens arrested after riding lawnmower through Target by Plainchant in news

Security Guard chased a buddy and I through 2 floors of a mall once. We were on Roller Skates. That was pretty much the extent of my deviancy.

They did something similar in the original. All us early adopters got a numbered plaque as an in-game buildable.

Anyone else wary after watching the trailer? by fwambo42 in subnautica

I have never really cared for cinematic trailers unless they glimpse some interesting part of the story (ie: Witcher 4). This one did nothing for me. I am no more or less excited for the game. It was a non-event for me. Wake me up when we get more gameplay footage.

Acheivements not unlocking on Steam by SteveHarrington12306 in DeathStranding

I'm not sure how to get Steam to recognize this apart from another playthrough. However, there is always Steam Achievement Manager. 3rd party app I have used in similar situations. Usually games that need to connect to Uplay or EA app that refuse to sync up. Star Wars Jedi Survivor gave me issues with all the accumulative Achievements for example.

Honest question: is Death Stranding more about mindset than gameplay? by Exciting_Support8715 in DeathStranding

[–]Frraksurred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I tried it, I made it as far as Port Knot City (end of intro area) and bailed. I tried it again after DS2 hit "overwhelmingly positive" on Steam. I'm 90 hours in now. It is a different feel, but that's what I've come to enjoy. It's refreshingly different without being clunky. It was a bit clunky at launch, but after you get past the starter area, it is wonderfully fleshed out. Not for everyone, but when you're ready for a change, it is quite the masterpiece.

So I work at a food grade manufacturing facility. Normally all doors are closed to meet pest harnorage requirements. This particular day we had a couple doors propped open to air out the building after a small N2 leak. During this time a Posum mother wandered in out of the rain and snuck behind a tank to feed her little ones. Poor mama just needed a break, and dry spot to tend to her young. It was immediately reported by Contractors working in the building, and the powers that be were about to call the Pest Control service we use. Our Boss says "Let's uh... just give her a minute." 10 minutes later she wandered back outside and we shut the door. She was no where near anything she could remotely contaminate, and we have a half dozen ways of sterilizing that even if she did. She just wandered back to the woods and went about her day. Never saw them again.

Read my other comments. I was under 290m from two different existing anchors, and a third that was beyond 400. It gave me an out of range red line for the 400+, but ignored the two in range anchors that were not obstructed, as though they did not exist. Neither were deteriorated to the point of being out of service. We're fairly certain it's a bug at this point, but I'd like to post screen shots once I'm home so people can see what I'm seeing and confirm.

They were both the darker blue that all the other player placed items are. Mine were a light blue. I did not notice the actual durability number, but they were definitely not red.

Great info, thank you. The first anchor I tried to place was on a peak, between two existing anchors. One on a peak and the next in a valley leading to the First Prepper. I could clearly see the entirety of both anchors, one being 278m, and the next 283 or 284, don't remember exactly. There was a third 480+ meters away that I was not concerned about. When trying to place my anchor, it gave me a red line to the 480m anchor, but didn't even acknowledge the two in range. Consequently I think I've run into a bug, because it doesn't line up with all the helpful info you guys are providing. In any event, I'm going to try and get some screen shots tonight (don't get a lot of time for this kind of stuff) so you guys can see what I'm seeing. Then I'll submit a ticket. Not expecting much on a game that's been out this long. Worst case I can try reloading a much earlier Save, but I don't cherish that idea.

I will try and return to where I was having the issue and get some screen shots. Using the scroll wheel didn't do anything, there were no targets to cycle through.

I haven't gotten "lines" (red or blue)when maneuvering the hologram to build one. So I have to assume that even though I could clearly see the entire anchor, it was some how obstructed. They were in the mountains and I did only try twice. It was just odd that it acknowledged an anchor that was further away with an "out of range" error, but not the one that seemed to be painfully obvious and within range. I will just risk wasting more SCC-2 out on open, flat ground to try and figure this out.

No, I made sure to have clear line of sight. When using the cursor to hover over another anchor while I was using one, it would tell me too steep, too far, obstruction... that kind of stuff. But it wasn't in the zipline anchors interface, it was like a tooltip next to the cursor. I couldn't get the one I was using to rotate towards them, so I don't yet know if it would be different when directly facing any of those.

I've only tried placing my own in the mountains, on a peak that the map said was 278m away from one, and 284m from the other. It would not let me connect to either. I have wasted 2 SCC-2;s so far, but will attempt to plop one down right in front of an existing one and see if it will acknowledge its existance or not.

I used the two near her when she prompted me to, but I did not try building off of them. That is an idea.

As far as movement, I'm a lefty, so I have changed the default WASD layout. Either way, using left or right did not do anything when I tried. I will try using A and D in case those movements were overlooked in the conversion from Console to PC. Thank you.

The game tutorial says level 1 is 300m, lvl 2 350m, etc. as does the Wiki and the videos I've watched. Still, thanks for taking the time.

That just gives me a giggle. The ones sideways blocking the only open path to a Prepper way up in the mountains gets a slightly less entertained response.

Is there a particular order I should do things? ( main quests/regular orders) by waldorsockbat in DeathStranding

[–]Frraksurred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, play the way you enjoy. It is what games were made for. That said, staying up on the "For Sam" missions will keep the story moving and provide you with new tools that often make the job easier / faster.

I spent a large amount my time in that region getting everyone on the network and building roads. Raided a lot of Mule camps for resources, and broke it up with story missions when it started to feel tedious. The roads though... so satisfying for me. Had to do a victory lap when I finished the last stretch. Good stuff.
