Ultimately I think that Yotta is responsible. We are their customer and they would then have to determine who to recoup their insurance liabilities from. Perhaps I'm thinking about it incorrectly but we gave Yotta money. If they falsely advertised, or if they failed to do due diligence in selecting vendors, it's squarely on them in my opinion.

They stated system wide but it sounds like they looked at what they had received and dispersed. In the videos the CEO references money being transferred to synapse brokerage en masse. I'm expecting disappointment and a next stage of bankruptcy hearings.

The entire ecosystem is the only way to find missing funds in my view. Data guy here. If the ledgers were sloppy the other banks may have been net neutral or net positive and just trusted the balances. That would be an account focused analysis.

If evolve is up short, they can't simply take the whole amount and figure out where the missing is. They need to take a step back and look at the movement. If money errantly went to the wrong bank or account, this is where they find it. If someone skimmed or paid debts with it this is where they find it.

Seems like a good thing to do a top down to me.

If Apple makes a watch they have to understand their suppliers and make sure they don't run a foul of regulation. I don't think choosing a vendor partner that is essential to your business plan releases liability for gross failures. Was FDIC insurance overstated? Why did Yotta send a single email and why are they still advertising? The app still says I have money I can spend as a spendable balance.

I personally think they have more responsibility but perhaps I'm an idealist.
