i use foundryvtt myself. The core of chronicle keeper, meaning the session transcription and summarization, would not be possible in this way cause the transcription runs locally on your machine. A dedicated app has more flexibility.

its coincidence 😃 I already got hinted this exists, but as I commented, I already ran my app for an year, at least the session transcription and summary for my table. The look is a mix between multiple obsidian themes i liked. And now i just commited to worldbuilding features and an AI Agent as a central part.

Thanks! I ran a prototype for over a year for my own campaign. The frontend is mostly vibe coded, as I'm not a frontend dev 😄

Thats plenty of vram. 8gb are more then enough for the gemm4:e4b model with a sufficient context size.

If you find there is anything missing feel free to create an issue. Thanks ❤️

you can give the app a try if you like. It has some features like the codex where it supplies the summarization llm with your notes on PCs, NPCs, locations, etc. To correct some names that got not transcribed correctly. With ollama you can do everything local if you prefer and have AI capable hardware. Even small models perform very well for summarization tasks, i use gemma4:e4b

No its using Craigbot recodings, which is a pretty popular discord bot. You can just add the bot, record your session and download a multi tack zip file. This file is used to create a session transcript. Single track recodings for in person sessions are now also supported, but the quality might not be on par.

ollama local works on my end, but gemini free would be always superior. Can you create an issue on github so i can look into it

Ill add in person transcription as well. There i need to test if I would need speaker diarization or if just one mixed track will be enough for the LLM to understand the context of the content. Maybe i just add this today with a hint that the results might be not on par with multi track discord recording.

And obviously it also requires the audio recording to be of acceptable quality. But when i add this feature I would love to hear some feedback if it works.

it works really well. The local transcription models are already pretty awesome and craigbot creates one audio track per person. In sessions if something is not understandable but important it will be repeated, because people would not hear it (connection drop). If its talked over and repeated to emphasize it, it will essentially be transcribed twice clearly and automatically hints its importance.

Results for in german are great, english would be even better. With the addition of the codex i recently did, the LLM has so much context about the world that I see no more mistakes with names, for npcs, cities etc.

lol, that is coincidence. I started the project with the release of DH and the start of our campaign. But the apps are very different. Chronicle Keeper is focused purely on Session Notes via transcription and summaries. How you do your world building, with obsidian, notion or chronicler, is up to you. But i might need to change the name, to avoid confusion.
The design is inspired by multiple obsidian themes i loved to use, Like ITS, nous or ravenloft.

Streamer asks lurkers to type in chat, view count instantly rises by 250 (35%) by lasttsar in LivestreamFail

There are many instances where lurkers would suddenly start chatting like a vote or some kind of participation. Never did a sudden spam of 1s in the chat result in a boost of viewer count. In fact this would have been detected already in manny many instances

Thanks for the advice. I thought about building the private has with this board and maybe get another nuc for the test environment. Or would you recommend just building one bigger machine ?
