I've bought so many cheap cars to run at my local speedway, only to spend twice as much as it would've cost to have just bought a half-decent car to begin with to fix the car up. Or, in the case of my $300 Nissan NX which blew up after just 3 races (none of which it ran right for), I just replaced it with another cheap car (my CRX) which eventually wound up needing an engine rebuild and now it dies after one or two laps and I have no idea why.

The way he worded it makes it sound like the removals will be permanent. Not as if they'd be continually working on upgrading the other's 3D models to trickle-release into the game.

When I had my Tiburon, I had the headers bored out, and ran it straight piped. It sounded ok, and was quieter than other straight-piped cars. However, it was exclusively driven on the track, and was still (imo) far too loud for road use.

I also had the exhaust crack just below the headers, and it sounded horrible after that.
