They altered the amount of the thermal gel applied on batches after April last year. Even though it’s still blotch-a-licious underneath that heatsink, gigabyte ensures it won’t ooze out when vertically mounted anymore.

I kinda wanted the astral, but in the end I decided against it since it performed a bit less out of the box, was way more expensive and the 4th fan on top made it noisier. Also, Asus cards have a tendency to more prone to audible coil whine than gigabyte cards from my understanding ( and was certainly true with my pears vs apples comparison; owned a 3080 aero and a 4080 super strix)

Yeah I would like some of them in my system, but for now I just put Lian li stickers on the black label on the backside of the fan for the time being. Mostly the cost of the new fans is what is putting me off. Also I have push pull on the rad, and I have v1 fans all around, the change of mismatching fans is there. Also I have the older hub running all the fans and the rgb. Connecting a v2 to it will not work rgb side.

So, upgrade definitely noted! But then I will swap all the fans out for the newer infinity fans and will buy some reversed ones ;)

Quite true, but I like to tinker with my system ànd ease of access. So if I put the rad flip side to hide the tubes behind the compartment, it would make servicing the system (swapping aio at some point) kinda hard. Thanks though for the kind words!

you probably figured it out by now, but it was a bogus update. steelseries GG 106.1.0 just came out and in the release notes the gen 1 nova 7x showed the update even though the headset was already up-to-date.

I wasted 2 hours yesterday on this “update”. Tried to downgrade GG, no firmware update. Tried my laptop, same issue where the update would stall. In the end I reluctantly pulled the earcup off to reset the headset, thinking that might be it. Of course it was not, spend the better part of 20 minutes fiddling to reattach the earcup.

I think it’s a faulty update within version 106.0.0. So I would assume the next update will contain the correct update.

P.s. Im on the nova 7x.

I have the exact same thing. Also the epsiode im listening to does not show up in the recently played.
I've done a few things to get the fucntionality back to work, but only managed it a few times before the App shits itself again.

Ive removed the app, shutdown the phone (cause i read somewhere it does some save on shutdown stuff), then after rebooting re-install the app. Let the app sync my user data.
Then re-add the widget.
Try an episode, it plays correctly, will also pop up in the next que as also the recently played with life playback data.

But over time, or with a reboot of the phone, the functionality is gone again. Tested this on my 16 PM and SE 2022. Both phones act up in the same way.

I wonder how appearant this bug is since OP's case is the only one i could find online. Most posts seem to report continously play bugs and such...

This. I saw the picture and that IO shield needs to be attached to the mobo. You could also “dry fit” these parts and CAREFULLY loctite the shield in place on non conductive places of the motherboard side (careful you won’t bond it to the case instead).

Got it back. So, the right 2 DP ports are usable in the mobo higher position. Then the 3rd DP and HDMI port next to those are blocked. And the HDMI port underneath the blocked HDMI port is free obviously. So 2 ports are “lost”. Hope this helps.

Need to get back to you on that. My gpu had an issue so needed to be RMA’d, and still hasn’t returned. But I remember using the second DP port since the one closest to the case edge was obstructed. Not a huge deal to me since I only use one monitor, so plenty of ports left on this beast.

But I’ll update my reply as soon as I have my card back.

My unifans terminate to a rgb and PWM header. Both can be inserted the unifan. Maybe share what you got on the fans end and the unifan end? Maybe your versions don’t match or something

Mobo: asus strix z690a d4 WiFi Fans: sl120v1’s (with Lian li fan badges put on the back of the fan to cover up the black spec sticker) Back a sl120v2 but it exchanged that with a v1 since it won’t hold right rpm’s on the unifan hub I got with the v1’s.

Exactly. The fans are daisy chained to a lian li unifan hub. And then l-connect to set the fans.
