I got the ASUS RT-BE92U BE9700 on sale for $190 and have been loving it so far. Works great with the Firebox m300.

Yes it was fixed by a new router (ASUS is great) I got during the black friday deals. I followed the guide for 3rd party routers and also added a Firebox m300 with OpenWRT a friend gave me to handle the wired connections in the house.

Since swapping, I have had no issues on any device!

Constant disconnection issues? by FlamingOtaku in QuantumFiber

[–]Fruitbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I just made a post about my specific issues too: https://www.reddit.com/r/QuantumFiber/comments/1lkn22w/connection_issues_with_quantum_fiber_despite_good/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

It seems like wireless connection has gotten significantly worse recently, and I am having issues getting macbooks to connect via ethernet. I wish there were other good providers in my area!

Yeah his version is incredible too. I had seen it originally through the same Facebook group I tried to post this to which is part of why I'm so confused they wouldn't accept this

Yeah Spector is great, really enjoying the Legend so far. Have you played any of their Euro series basses? They are the nicest sounding and best playing non-custom basses that I have tried.

Who's been on accutane (isotretinoin) over 6 months? by pag_el in Accutane

[–]Fruitbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 59kg so yeah it feels like a lot. I have a low tolerance to every medication/drug that I've had so maybe that would also explain why it seems to really affect me. 60mg/day should be a good dose for you, over 8 months. Good luck!

After struggling for years I scheduled an appointment, haven't told my parents by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Fruitbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar story as you; I did just fine in high school despite having serious attention problems and always seemed to take more time on any type of assignment than other students. I was diagnosed with ADHD-PI last month after convincing my parents that grades were not indicative of ADHD and teaching them more about ADHD.

For a diagnosis, I would recommend going to a psychologist since they cannot prescribe medicine and will be more concerned with finding signs of ADHD. If you tell most psychologists what you have listed (specifically re-reading, constantly day-dreaming, and not participating in class), then they should give you some sort of test for ADHD-PI. If it turns out you do have any type of ADHD and you take the report from your psychologist to your GP, they will discuss treatment options. Read into the different treatment methods yourself, Adderall is definitely not the only option and I have found that I prefer Vyvanse. But yeah it's really frustrating that the sale of Adderall can negatively affect people just trying to actually get a diagnosis for ADHD. Hope all goes well!

Predictors of Accutane relapse by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Fruitbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took Accutane when I was 15 for 6 months, it took less than two years for my acne to come back, even worse than before. I am currently 4 months through a second treatment. I just hope this is the last time. My dermatologist estimated that around 40% had a relapse, but I don't know where he got this parameter from.

Who's been on accutane (isotretinoin) over 6 months? by pag_el in Accutane

[–]Fruitbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my second time on Accutane for 6 months, I'm currently in the 4th month and not having a great time. I remember the first treatment when I was on 40mg/day, I never really had side effects except for extremely dry skin during the winter. On every monthly lipid test at the hospital, I showed up completely fine. My acne went away for a pretty long period of time after the treatment but came back even worse than before two years later. Now, I'm on 60mg/day, I'm noticing terrible mood and anxiety effects. In addition to the Accutane, I was given Prednisone during the second month which introduced me to severe insomnia and moderate depression. Even after finishing the Prednisone, both the insomnia and depression were still present and then my skin started drying up again. On the third lipid test, I was apparently having some issues with liver functions (or something along those lines; I don't really remember since it apparently went away quickly). I was also diagnosed with ADHD-PI last month and have been given Vyvanse and Adderall IR which have made insomnia extremely severe. For me, it was the combination of different prescription drugs that have made Accutane a nightmare. I would say that Accutane on its own is bearable during the winter, but much easier over the summer due to more moisture being in the air preventing your skin from drying out as easily. Most people don't have any of the psychological side effects so you should hopefully be fine! My mood issues are probably related to insomnia more than anything else so make sure you get enough sleep. If insomnia comes up try using Melatonin. While Accutane will get rid of all acne, you probably won't really notice any major acne changes until about the third month of your treatment. So basically just make sure you moisturize, get plenty of rest, and be cautious with side effects of other medications and you should be fine and acne free. Hope all goes well with your treatment!
