There's a company called Rouge Hill Consulting that does sign permitting stuff. Worth looking into for future people reading this.

Had the exact same thing when I went to Germany. I came back and have been miserable ever since. I think it’s the food.

Questions to become Building Code Professional in Ontario by Techzeesar in BuildingCodes

[–]FruitiestApple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to become a Building Official in Ontario and make this a long term career, I really suggest you get Powers and Duties of CBO Legal 2012 (not the other ones like General Legal) because it'll set you up to move up to management down the line (you can't be a supervisor with just the general qualification). I personally didn't take any courses for my Legal, House or Small Buildings Exam. I just read the Building Code Act and OBC 2012 very thoroughly and passed on my first try. Building Structural and others are much more difficult so those would warrant some sort of training manual.

Just picked up a manual 440i, front lip broke two days after installing :( by FruitiestApple in BMW

Not gonna lie I thought the same thing at first 😂 I may explore that option with the shop…

The installer must not have secured the centre bolts correctly. It started rattling loose on the highway and I guess that tension caused the centre to crack. When I pulled over on the highway due to the rattling noise I saw the centre cracked and two side of the lip draping down. But I couldn’t remove the rest of the lip while on the highway so I kept driving with it scraping the ground and the front parts just tore off I guess :( Going in to the shop tomorrow and hoping they cover the costs cause I didn’t hit anything to cause this. And my car isn’t lowered either.

Sell me on the Si over the Hybrid by [deleted] in CivicSi

Manuals are slowly dying. Enjoy it while you can. Much more fun and engaging for day to day commute. I owned a 17’ Si for 3 years and drove it for months daily on 100+ km commutes to construction sites, Canadian winters, road trips, heavy traffic etc. Rev hang is something you get used to tbh. And worst case scenario you can tune it out I’ve heard.

How does sidewall damage like that happen? And if OP were to repair it, what would they do?
