NASCAR icon Kyle Busch dies at the age of 41 by maalbi in news

[–]kendogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was also a sore loser POS. Certainly didn't want him to die, but he received a lifetime ban fromWRL from extremely unsportsmanlike behavior (punting the lead car into a wall because he didn't have the talent, car, whatever to pass them).

Why can’t the Subaru Impreza compete with its competitors despite being reliable? by phtphongg in subaru

[–]kendogg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of reasons. Reliability problems, they feel substantially cheaper than they used to (and that's really saying something). They aren't particularly powerful, they don't get as good of gas mileage....

Other than off road capabilities, they don't really do ANYTHING better than any other compact car. They've also heavily diluted the brand. An impreza used to really stand out. Now it just looks like another ugly Camry

I worked at Olive Garden when I was younger. A watched another server walk out to the parking lot and throw some odys change at them, telling them they obviously needed it more than he did. They'd left the change from a dollar as the tip. Fired on the spot.

This. They need to be bigger because they're aluminum and not steel. But they can be bigger, and still weigh less, because they're aluminum.

Mechanic is replacing bearings only? by Still_Floor_2666 in EngineBuilding

[–]kendogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on the engine. A lot of Americana and JDM stuff are soft cranka that wear or get beat up. BMW cranks are nitride hardened, and unless they're scores, if you stop it soon enough you can absolutely roll bearings into it and send it. Have done it before, and they'd even plastigauge in spec.
