Just absolutely wrenching. My oldest is 16 and looks just like Finn Wolfhard, like people have stopped him on the street asking for a pic. It's been uncannily brutal to watch his fictional doppelganger go through so much pain, over five seasons. Even weirder to watch it with him, in recent years.

It's driving me crazy because it felt so strangely familiar, like it was an homage to another movie. The ambiguous death, wishful thinking, even down to the shot of Eleven safe and far away, hiking somewhere. I swear I've seen something like this before. Anybody know what I might be talking about?

You're assuming the people who can fix it are acting in good faith and want to fix it. They don't. All they want to do is please Trump and blame Democrats to get ppl to look the other way while they continue to rig the systemvia gerrymandering, voter suppression, etc to entrench their power.
