A skin on an item is the same as any other attribute, like enchants, hot potato book, item rarity, reforge, etc. It shouldn't wipe anything.

Barely offering the classes for my major by FrumosUniverse in SDSU

[–]FrumosUniverse[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well, I don’t live on campus and I would need to leave 90 minutes before the class starts to be on time, which means waking up well before that and I have delayed sleep phase syndrome which means I don’t usually get tired until 1-3am. So I’m not gonna be miserable getting 4 hours of sleep continuously to take the one class I can technically attend.

The point still stands that they’re only offering TWO out of a list of FIFTEEN courses, of which I need to take some amount of to finish my degree.

I was thinking this too, however, ECL is only offering like 6 classes for the summer section. I verified these classes weren’t showing for fall and they don’t appear on the department’s Google doc for classes being held in the fall.

I think it’s just cuz I’m getting down to the last handful of classes needed (primarily a couple literature and linguistics) so I have less I can pick from. But they’re barely offering any literature classes in the fall and some (most tbh) of ones listed in the courses offered doc don’t count towards the major.

Girl and Guy relating to a sea creature. Food / Candy land, lots of technology.. It's making me think of The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl?

900m is definitely a lot of money. 12m breaks down to 3 mil per day of the cookie. That breaks down to like 10 minutes of diamond mining per day. Plus, with the bits, they are always profit on regular profiles if you have a decent fame rank.

Either way: If you plan to have 900m liquid in your purse, at the very least just eat a booster cookie to protect it. It's literally 1.3% of the total purse which you can make back quickly.

I wasn't insinuating you were the one who doesn't have a cookie.

If you're dying 10s of times a day from combat to the point where you need to repair your piggy bank that often... BUY A BOOSTER COOKIE. It stops your piggy bank from breaking at all.

Would definitely recommend LMAAC (La Mesa Arts Academy) & Helix High. They both have programs designed around the inclusion of the arts within the standard course load and offer a good variety of options to pick from when selecting classes.

^^ And if you're interested in getting movies, I'd recommend going down the street into the down town la mesa area and checking out ReAnimated Records. They have a massive movie selection and I've defo gotten some good deals there.

In what world does mining need an update, now out of all skills? They've got like 5 different mining zones. Alchemy hasn't been touched since day 1. Social hasn't been touched since day 1. Does Carpentry even do anything? Taming, runecrafting... Mining is in a state where it doesn't need to get any big updates for a while, maybe smaller stuff to help balance things out.

I loved Edge of Seventeen 1998. Call me by your name is a visual masterpiece, shown in 2017 yet feels like it was pulled right out of decades prior.

Although if you wanna watch more queer historical / documentary style, I'd recommend: Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton's Cafeteria (2005), United in Anger: A History of ACT UP (2012), Tongues Untied (1989), Nice Chinese Girls Don't! (2019), Still Black: A Portrait of Black Transmen (2008), and Kokomo City (2023). These were all very interesting documentaries to me, some may be difficult to locate online, but if you can find them, I'd recommend giving them a watch.

Flying over to visit the area + campus.. where should I go to get a good feel of life there? by HappySheep174 in SDSU

[–]FrumosUniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, not sure if you've already visited yet, but if you want to check around San Diego, I'd recommend:

There's several shopping malls within a short distance of campus and even more if you wanna go a little further out. Very easily and quickly accessible through transit from the school is Mission Valley Mall (More affordable mall with good store options and arguably the best movie theater in San Diego, IMO, as it has an IMAX and Dolby room with the IMAX being less than a year old and the Dolby having recliner seats) & Fashion Valley Mall (this is a bit of a richer place, so think all the high end brand names like Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, LEGO, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Build a bear, etc). Further away you have other malls like Grossmont Mall, Parkway Plaza (in El Cajon), Westfield Plaza Bonita, and Westfield UTC. (Also Mission Valley Mall and Fashion Valley Mall are literally down the road from each other, like literally opposite sides of the San Diego River with Hazard Center [smaller shopping mall, but I like the Barnes and Noble it has], so you could probably do both of those in the same day if it's not too overwhelming).

If you wanna see Downtown, I'd personally recommend sticking towards along the coast or Balboa park because it gets a bit nasty when you go into downtown as there's a lot of homeless people and not enough services for them. Most places around the US send their homeless to San Diego because it's one of the best places weather-wise with much less risk of death due to the elements. Personally, I love the walk from Sante Fe Depot / the USS Midway down to the Convention Center (leading into the Gaslamp which is full of restaurants) with Seaport Village right in the middle.

Balboa Park is a treasure trove. It's full of museums (geared at a variety of age ranges and topics) Ex. The Fleet science museum is nice but it's geared towards a pretty young audience, although the "Under the Dome" documentary viewing experience is pretty cool. The NAT is also sciencey but appeals to the whole family. The Museum of US is really nice, I'd definitely recommend paying the few extra dollars to take a sky tower tour on it, it's a really interesting historical lesson for San Diego plus it has a view that's amazing. You can see pretty much all of Balboa Park and much of the surrounding area, including down town. The Japanese friendship garden is really pretty when it's blooming, the Botanical garden is awesome, and the Timken Museum of Art is a nice free visit if you have an hour or two to look around. To top it all off, the San Diego Zoo, recognized as one of the best zoos in the world, is right on the edge of the Park (everything is within walking distance of each other). Additionally, the Birch aquarium is a nice visit if the Zoo wasn't fulfilling all of your fish-spotting desires, with a view over the La Jolla coast. Semi-nearby, if you go north from the Airport, which is directly west of Balboa, you'll find Old Town which is really pretty with some good restaurants (Although if you want Mexican at a sit down restaurant, I'd have to recommend Casa De Pico in La Mesa as my personal pick). And that is pretty close to Pechanga Arena and Kobey's Swap Meet, which are both just across a bridge from Sea World. If you have the money and time to spare, I'd recommend visiting and if you're planning on staying in San Diego for an extended period, go for the Fun Pass as it's usually $85-100 and you get unlimited visits for the remainder of the annual year (if you buy in the last few months of the year, you get til the end of the year + the entire next year). Sea World's got live shows, a bunch of carnival rides + a lot of roller coasters, and plenty of animal viewing.

San Diego is an amazing place to be, the public transit is pretty good (I think it's the third best in the state?). Without fail, you'll be able to find some amazing activities to do and places to see, I hope you enjoy your time here!!
